  1. I don’t know why Conor feels the need to come out and state the obvious. He’s just fuelling speculation that no one needs right now. Probably wants him to leave so he can get in the team.
  2. I thought this and then I actually thought what happens if they can’t find a vaccine? What happens then? A vaccine isn’t a given.
  3. Jacks a great player. He’s gets me excited when he’s on the ball, you always have confidence in him to make a good decision and to make something happen. It will be upsetting and a sad day when he leaves, which he unfortunately will. It would probably soften the blow to see him go abroad, I really could see him playing for Barcelona, he’d be a great long term prospect for them and could learn and eventually take over from Messi as their talisman, I know some people don’t rate him that highly but I do, there isn’t many players who can make the ball stick to their feet like glue. It would also probably benefit him to be away from the UK press and people he chooses to mix with.
  4. I actually don’t care about football anymore. Obviously I hope they don’t relegate us and football comes back one day and I will enjoy it again, for the time being I really don’t care and fed up of arguments about it.
  5. I agree with your last point. We’ve had some pretty rotten luck, that goal at Palace that was disallowed in the last second still grinds my bones, why the ref blew when he just had to let the last few seconds play out is beyond me, he could of reviewed VAR after, everyone knew it wasn’t a dive, Billing at home to Bournemouth should of been sent off he did about 4 or 5 bad tackles in the first half alone and was quickly subbed, bad injuries to McGinn, Wes and Heaton, conceding to Liverpool at home so late really hurt bad too. don’t get me wrong we’ve played some stinking matches too and deserved to be beaten, But I don’t think overall we deserve to be in the bottom 3 and I think we had enough to get out of it.
  6. Did actually cross my mind, if we lose Jack especially. Could give him a decent contract for a year, get a couple of other statement players from the continent and show ambition. We showed with Terry we can attract big players still. Although this is all up in the air with the current situation.
  7. I mean IF football does restart anyone that’s not up for it will just have to say I’m feeling unwell. If things start going south for teams getting results they can just say oh well the whole team has come down with something can’t play for a few weeks?
  8. He will be a good player for us in some ways, in some ways I mean he will make an excellent quiz question in a few years.
  9. Yeah and Pardew just saved that Dutch team from relegation! Pardew in.
  10. No from me I’d rather stick with Smith and hopes he adopts a slightly more defensive approach next season which is highly likely given he should of learnt masses from this season. He can and will only get better as a manager. I don’t see Dyche as a massive upgrade and we need stability at our great club. I wouldn’t be totally against a change but it would have to be a big upgrade and an elite type manager (Poch for instance) for me to change my mind.
  11. It’s a shame he’s 25 this year as people have pointed out he’s probably going to want to move on for his career unfortunately, it’s a shame we are not a couple of years down the line and hopefully Challenging the top half of the table. I’d say it’s too much of a gamble for him to stick around and find out if that’s the way we are going, especially with teams like Everton investing and now Newcastle going to be up there it’s going to be harder than ever to break into the elite positions now.
  12. I don’t think traditionally we’ve been a ‘hard’ team, we’ve had some solid players namely defenders but that goes with the territory. If I’d have to say one from recent time Hutton always looked like he gave as good as he got, also remember Alan Thompson here for a little while think he was quite solid.
  13. People keep mentioning the tv money, I take it sky/bt won’t pay up because the games won’t be on but are they going to refund people there subscription money? Because if not why should they hold the money back and keep it? They would be massively profiting from the pandemic which the government had said it would be cracking down on.
  14. Let’s be honest we won’t strip him of captaincy, if there was a game on Saturday and Smith had to do a press conference tomorrow then of course he would be but let’s be honest by the time we get back to playing this WILL be forgotten about and I’m sure there will be other clubs making the headlines in some shape or form.
  15. Don’t know if this has been said but this would sort him out. He needs a misses. That would sort him out, he wouldn’t be allowed to anything.
  16. This will be forgotten in a week. Yes bad lad going out but I’ve seen people out down my street, turn up at work all week when not really essential. No confirmation he’s been drink driving. This is a lot less serious than them Derby players that had that drink driving crash At xmas, that was forgotten about pretty quickly. The only damage he’s done is to his image and England chances. Let’s be honest we need him more than he needs us at the moment. Let’s not forget what he has done for the club and let’s not abandon him in his hour of need.
  17. Had accident, left scene after doing right thing due to 1)being embarrassed for being out when shouldn’t and for crashing 2) being local celebrity football player. Nothing more. Not likely to even be on news with more important things going on.
  18. Yeah I don’t get the Nilis love i mean good player but unfortunately no fault of his own hardly played a game. I remember how sad I was though with that break and my best mate at school was obsessed with the picture of his leg bent which made me feel sick. Also don’t get the love for Wilfed Bouma, again good player but horrible injury means he never hit very high heights with us
  19. Bosnich Mellberg. Laursen. McGrath Barry Young. Hendrie. Milner. Jack JPA. Yorke
  20. None of the options are going to be fair but it is in fairness the most fair option, I can’t say fairer than that.
  21. I feel like we have bigger problems than this at the moment.
  22. I said this last night and I still think it’s a sensible thing to do, put deano on gardening leave, get someone in short term to try and save this season, if we stay up reevaluate, sorry but it probably won’t be you Dean we need to think bigger and show ambition, if we go down then give smith another season to try and get us back up. It’s a bit unconventional but it could work.
  23. I thought he was the only player to come out with any credit tonight. He broke play up we’ll rescued Luiz a few times.
