  1. It's interesting that Ashley Young has said Luke Shaw needs to get his head down and work hard. There's obviously some sort of training issue with the lad.

    Wolves

Out of interest r.e: fitness, I noticed during our game that Wolves were really intense and up for it for the first half, or possibly part of the second half too, but then faded quite a lot. Is that how your games have been this season? Blitzing teams in the first hour and then being able to relax more and retain possession?

    Adama Traore

He's also only just turned 22. We live in a world whereby young players are written off so incredibly quickly. I'm pretty sure people are saying Keinan Davis and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy don't look up to scratch. 20 and 19 respectively. Sometimes, players need time to develop. It's taken Traore a while at Middlesbrough, but he's starting to get there.

    Carles Gil

I don't particularly wonder where we'd be if we hadn't lost 3-2 to Leicester, but I remember Grealish and Gil both scoring lovely goals against them and thinking "yeah, OK, maybe we're not so shit after all!". Implosion struck. We all know what happened after. But, y'know, for 60 minutes I thought we had the makings of a decent side.

    Carles Gil

Exactly this. Plus, it's nice to have bright sparks in season after season of utter turd. CARLES GIL, whilst not being a brilliant player at all, managed to score some beauts. I thank him for that.
  6. But that's because teams like us are overspending whereas Man City aren't? Their turnover is something like £500m/season. They can spend a lot - and they do.

    Carles Gil

Hey, stop having a go at CARLES GIL. He is brilliant.
  8. Your response to two Burnley players (who are in fantastic form) being in the squad was “who?”, but expect Grealish to be called up?! lol.

    Wolves

Not much on the investment front IMO, but I don’t think we’d “need” to sell either. This squad is good enough to challenge for promotion (and could’ve/should’ve got closer to automatic this season). So, assuming we don’t go up, I’d expect much the same but with a different manager.
  10. Not sure I agree with all the conspiracy. Where do PSG fit into this? They drew Real Madrid last time out. Last year they had PSG vs Barca then Barca vs Juve in the knockouts.
  11. Fantastic call. I don’t know how well Davy Propper has done for them, but Brighton seem to have done some brilliant recruitment for this season in getting Ryan, Gross, Izquierdo, Schelotto, Locadia and Krul as backup too.

    Arsenal

I’ve seen plenty of instances (no, I can’t name them ) where the official behind the goal has had a clear view of an incident and not done... anything. I remember an instance of the ball going a full yard over the by-line too - official behind the goal let play go on. They seem to basically do nothing but stand there. Maybe their remit is to advise a ref if they’ve made a wrong decision? No idea. I don’t think the game would be worse off without them, though.
  13. After the Wolves win, we could have definitely finished 2nd. Now, I think we'll fall short. Cardiff do have a tougher run than us, though.
  14. Not out of order, but it's pretty ridiculous. Even with these 2 losses, we've picked up 31 points out of a possible 42. That's great form. After beating Wolves, we were challenging for automatic promotion... and now, suddenly, Bruce is utter turd and we're not going up. Crazy.
  15. Hell no - have I said that he did?
  16. I'm pretty sure he's said as much, has he not?
  17. Just utterly ridiculous - but our fan base is getting like that tbh.
  18. There's a world of difference between fans having a dig at the manager and fans criticising decisions. I think you know that really.
  19. Already responded to Jonah, but basically the latter.
  20. So we should have just given him digs all season long, aside from when we were briefly in the top 2? Our aim is promotion tbh. Whether it's finishing 6th and winning the playoffs or finishing top 2, it doesn't particularly matter. As I said earlier, if it doesn't happen, he'll be gone.
  21. I have no idea what the **** you're on about here. If fans are having a pop at him after that run of form, he's fully entitled to have a pop back.
  22. The fans are having digs at him after picking up 31 points from a possible 42. We've just been unlucky in that Cardiff are in blinding form too.
  23. I put these defeats more on the players tbh - particularly against Q.P.R. He's the type of manager that will organise a team and get them motivated for big games - which will be handy in the playoffs. We've a very experienced team. Obviously it's not a certainty or anywhere near that, but Bruce is a decent bet IMO.
  24. He'll be gone if we don't go up. And it's definitely the playoffs now. Interestingly, I think Bruce is made for playoff situations.
  25. Teams who constantly change their managers?
