  1. Logging into Facebook these days has the same feel as going into Blockbuster Video just before they all closed down.
  2. Every managerial appointment is a gamble to some degree. We've done the experienced proven manager in Bruce and Houllier, the "fans choice" in Lambert, the up-and-coming Englishman in Sherwood, the foreigner with a track record in Garde and the proven failure in McLeish. And they've all failed. So we're about due to try the unproven foreign manager. I'd probably choose Rogers myself, but I love the idea of Henry at the club. Sure it might not work, but what's new? It's an exciting appointment, I'm pretty sure it would excite the players too, and I hope it happens. Henry talks a very good game, if he can get the players on the same wavelength then things will be looking pretty good at Villa Park.
  3. Mental how many pundits can't grasp that just maybe Bruce isn't a magic promotion pass after all, and that he's done his best and failed. Oh wait, we chased him out cos he's ex-Birmingham ?
  4. Yeah, cos we're crying out for someone to give the ball away and run down dead ends!
  5. Senior player taking responsibility.
  6. I think Rogers would be a great appointment. Henry potentially great, but much more of a risk. Allardyce would have been the perfect guy to follow MON, but not what we need now. But with the right coaches, the cabbage might work.
  7. Thanks for all your efforts Steve. Fell short in the end but I'm sure you gave it your best shot.
  8. We may have to ask Terry to come in as player manager!
  9. Nah, it's a napa cabbage - asian variety.
  10. Villa have owners with money, and are the biggest club outside the premiership by a distance. The notion that we can't attract a decent manager is absurd.
  11. Yeah but at least he stopped it sinking. Kinda stuck on a reef now though. Time for a new captain. And a new analogy.
  12. For sure. People slating him for only hanging around for the money are way off the mark. This is the biggest job he'll ever have, and he desperately wanted to make a success of it. I have no doubt he's given absolutely everything, but unfortunately he's fallen short. Such is life.
  13. Time to go Steve. Thanks for turning the ship around when you got here... but you're making a real mess of things now.
  14. Wilshire's injury has turned their season around!
  15. The only thing that matter is how full of cash the brown paper bag is. Facilities and fairness do not come into it one bit!
  16. At least we have Tshibola until 2020, woo!
  17. This. Tried to completely change a very good side overnight that just needed tweaking. Awful appointment in every way.
  18. Yeah, I watched it again last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now that I've got used to him, I think Alden Ehrenreich makes an excellent Han. Much better all round film than The Last Jedi for my money.
  19. Three - Central Coast, Newcastle, Wellington!
  20. McCormack trending over here on Twitter - Central Coast fans hugely excited about this signing. Basically the polar opposite of this thread!
  21. Seriously though, who wouldn't trade the Holte End for Central Coast Mariners' two giant inflatable bottles of tomato sauce end?
  22. Sony getting in on the act, Playstation Classic on the way... https://kotaku.com/sony-just-announced-the-99-playstation-classic-console-1829159574?IR=T
  23. Miles better in all conditions? Exaggeration much? Overall McGrath the better bowler, but both superb, and two of the most accurate bowlers of all time. I think Jimmy's control of the swinging ball is as good as anyone, I'd say he's better than McGrath in this respect.
