A very good question. Given those games 5 points would be enough for me to buy him extra time, even 4 would be a reasonable return. Unfortunately even that number of points is likely to leave us a long way adrift which is why I think we need to act now. I think if we aren't more than 4 or 5 pts adrift by christmas we can still get enough points in the second half of the season to stay up. Its not ideal, but with a completely new squad, it was always going to take time for Sherwood to work out his best team, and tactics and for the team to gel. Ok he tried something different saturday to get the service to Gestede but it backfired. Hopefully he learns from that and actually gets back to the formation we had at Leicester when we played so well first half. Except he doesn't seem to be learning or accepting he's making any mistakes. It may be the case he's slowing learning the job but were not in the position to be taking risks like that. I don't think that's true at all. Losing these games doesn't mean he or the team aren't learning. That's not how learning always works. Learning can be holistic and cyclical. There's no doubt the team is getting better. You don't think Sherwood has anything to do with that? The team is getting better? Oh yes dropping Gil and Grealish to the bench and making Hutton our creative outlet is a masterstroke from Sherwood.

Well he needs to hold his hands up and say he's made a mistake, otherwise he will condemn us to relegation. Any smart businessman admits to his mistakes and tries to correct them in the future.

This club needs stability, a manager like Sherwood is a risk but could potentially be a great success. A manager like Pullis would of stabilised us for a couple of seasons until the club was sold and then we could look into progressing into the top end of the table. At the moment its just to risky to give a manager like Sherwood free reins on a club who narrowly avoid relegation every season. I do hope he works out but I have to lay the blame on Lerner who took so long to remove Lambert and then replace him with the risky Sherwood.

I think he will. I also think a lot of fans have made their mind up about him no matter how well he plays. Nobody would be happier than me if he started banging them in, trust me. I'd be **** delighted as I've seen him at his best. Just never has the consistency for this league.

When was the last time you saw him take someone on and succeed? Todays premier league even teams like palace have quality in them and you can't have players like gabby anymore who contribute so little every game. Its times like these you will see if Tim's got the balls to change things up and drop him, we have plenty of options so no excuses.

If he doesn't contribute, what use is he? He may be 'Villa through and through', but fans sit in the stands, players on the pitch - age old rule ;-) I'm not saying there should be a big love in, or even that everyone should like him.
