    Bailey has done a Dougie Came in and everyone had high hopes, massively under performs and then almost out of no where, he becomes the player we thought we had bought and becomes a top contributor to the team. Dougie did regress after lockdown slightly for a while but hasn't really out a foot wrong since, long may Baileys form stay at the top. Hopefully any contract negotiations include performance based payments, just like I hope our other player contract extensions are. At least that way, if God forbid a players form digressed then we wouldn't be stuck paying 125k pw for someone either not used or not wanted. Happy for us and happy for him that he has improved so much.

    Diaby missed more than a couple, he missed 3 or 4 big chances in the second half. He doesn't look fit and hasn't for some time. Walked almost limping in 1st half and again 2nd half. We won so all is forgiven, but something doesn't seem right with him and hasn't for months.

    Happy with the result, not overly happy we are still using certain players from the start. Injuries and suspension has cost us at least 3 points in the last 2 games so 3 today was vital. Ramsey not fit enough shouldn't be starting Lenget back to the bench please Diaby back to the bench please Torres comes on and all of a sudden we have the whole pitch we can play in. Bailey the best on the pitch by far, the only one who looked like he wanted to take them on. We need a rest and 2 good players to be brought in to help, a defensive midfielder who can pass the ball and a quick right back who can pass the ball. Well done for 2023, beyind 99% of fans imagination after the fulham away game. let's try and keep it going in 2024

    Happy with 2 -1 at half time bearing in mind some of the no shows again. Lenget eventually got a cheer in the 40th minute for actually passing the ball not backwards or in field, he's not been good at tall today and partially due to him we are totally one sided. Ramsey ? Clearly still no where near ready to start but gets the nod over zaniolo.He's doing badly yet again, and anonymous. Moreno, can't do much as lenget refuses to pass him the ball and when he did have it, over ran or made the wrong decisions. Would be far easier if lenget actually used his eyes and passed the ball to moreno as we wouldn't be so 1 dimensional. Nice to see diaby get a goal, he again hasn't looked fit.

    Shown up all of his weakenness tonight. As a sub ? Great, as a starter ? Not so sure. A poor game tonight is kind towards his display. He wasn't the only poor effort tonight , the result is thanks to 3 or 4 players not being good enough tonight and emery not sorting it out.

    Shouldn't be starting until he is sharp enough. 20/ 25 min appearances to build him up so he is ready. Today, again, was poor and gave no support or decent service to either full back when trying to overlap, he just turned back inside and back to lenget who then passes it sideways. We have cash who does that on the right, breaking up attacks, cant be having that nonsense on both sides.

    Pau we missed the most today, lenget has looked tidy but 80% off his passes were sideways or back, meant digne couldn't attack or moreno. Ramsey need to be coming on 20 or 25 mins for 5 or so games, not starting. He's a great player when up to speed, he's not upto speed and again, was responsible for our poor play down the left. The disappointment of losing our winning streak added to a huge loss of 2 points against the poorest team by far, added to the chance to go top and muffing it up multiplies the disappointment. Are we all happy being where we are ? of course, it's like our wildest dreams, it doesn't stop the disappointment of tonight though

    I'm enjoying it but seeing how bad we were tonight and why cash and Ramsey stayed on is what cost us a win, against the worst team in the league is bitterly disappointing. Burley and Luton have these down as likely wins, that's how bad they are.

    Can't vote as they were rubbish and would vote zaniolo The bad first Cash useless, total waste of space today, Lenget was Mr sideways, whole body shape every time he had the ball was turn sideways no forward thinking at all. Ramsey was pretty useless and should have been off at half time carried on turning inside doing nothing. Mcginn elected literally every single time to pass the ball to opposition when a shot was on. Digne, not one cross, all night, not 1. Emery not making the changes that were glaringly obvious to everyone. The good Zaniolos goal What a piss poor effort against the worst team in the league and by far the worst away team in the league. Thrown away 2 points thrown away our home win run and just played terrible slow plodding crap. Lenget should have been off for Carlos at half time, he plays on the front foot and can ping a quick pass. Ramsey should have been off at half time for zaniolo Tonight I would be pissed off with if we were mid table, to have the chance to go top and have so many poor efforts out there was embarrassing.

    Disappointing is an understatement. Cash terrible, poor decisions, slow thinking and needs taking off. Mcginn looks tidy, until he gets anywhere near their area and then he just passes them the ball. Fking shoot every now and then instead of maybe 6 or 7 times just passing them the ball. That goes for the rest of the team, stop looking for the eye of a needle pass against 6 defenders and actually fire a bloody shot off. Far too slow in our build up play, we aren't winning so what are we wasting our own time by keeping it 30 seconds at a time at the back before releasing a pass ? Konsa right cash off and Carlos on who is willing to make the quick long pass on. Zaniolo would have been decent for this game, he's not shy in shooting unlike our team tonight.

    As a footballer, he has improved massively, he's kept his lockdown form where he was by far the most improved player and added in the consistency, so he's an 8 out of 10 in most games. He's normally with kamara who is also regularly an 8 out of 10 player. He's playing for emery, a 9 out of 10 manager who while being villa manager has also upped his game to a 10 out of 10 manager. He has multiple friends, family and roots planted in Birmingham. Of course other teams want him, but there is too much keeping him here at the moment with how we are playing and the results we are getting. I can see an improved contract being offered either in January or it will be lined up for summer. That will resolve any financial discrepancies. If he were the star player in a poor team I could see him wanting to move, he isn't, we don't have 1 stand out player. This season we have several players who are on the top of their game and all are important to how we play and none of them are for sale at this time. Maybe in 2 or 3 years time if we haven't pushed on as much as he expects, there will be a decision to be made, same with martinez and possibly watkins, however again, I cant see that happening.

    Only saw the last 20 mins, it want pretty. As mentioned, no injuries, top of the group and no more extra games till march. Pitch looked very poor. As it wasn't the first team I saw playing there, little point me moaning at some of the crap play, the first team won't be playing that poorly. Glad zaniolo got a goal, will try and watch it in abit. Back to the bread and butter of the Premier league.

    Martinez kept us in it first half so my motm Mcginn could hardly stand near the end he was that exhausted ran an ultra close 2nd for motm. Thought all the subs bar diaby made an impact, although he did set ollie up for a shot with good work. Even donk put in 2 hard challenges in a row which led to another attack. You could see they need the after match team to do their magic now to help them all recover they were all not able to stretch or reach freely tonight.     One of our most reliable players this season, it will be a tough decision come summer time to sell him on. I, like probably 50% of fans, wanted him sold this summer to raise funds and reduce wages but his value has been immense especially with monero out all season until yesterday.

    Hopefully coutinho can be sold off to the Arabs for 10 or 15 million Donker 5 to 10 million Traore will leave on a free or we could try and get the Arabs to buy him in Jan for a couple million ? Sansom another 5 million or so Then you are looking at players we wish to upgrade Cash Olsen Bailey ( done well recently ) Then age / value Digne Mings Carlos Them there's still big Tim and maybe another couple younger players who could be sold off who are on loan at the moment. So plenty of players we may be able to shuffle out to reduce wages and increase revenue. It's balancing having enough quality players who will keep us strong if injuries or suspension kick in to strengthening financially in order to get 2 or 3 better players.
