  1. Tell me about it. Rise of the evil clowns.
  2. Sounds similar to the one about the bloke who goes in the Chinese takeaway a bit tipsy as he talks about finally leaving his girlfriend, before placing his order. The woman behind the counter says: "Ahh ok. You wo rye wi tha? And so it continues...
  3. Love that the team is taking shape and looks competitive, on paper. I believe it will take us a while to fully click, but plenty of really positive signs, so losing to Spurs wouldn't be the end of the world.
  4. Presume you are doing the modern ironic joke thing of repeating something (again) that others have clearly explained is untrue. Villa Report is not ITK and doesn't claim to be. He collects and redistributes information from around the web. End of story.
  5. No doubt about it, if Percy says so. Looks like you have a heavy dose of surprise heading your way matey.
  6. That is very reassuring indeed. If they can be bothered to read something that contradicts their view, the doubters should read this.
  7. I actually groan when he gets the ball because if it doesn't go sideways or backwards he thinks, oh go on then, if I must and makes a woeful cross which means we lose possession and he's out of position. He knows his cross will be shit which is why he is afraid of advancing. It's actually cruel on him to play him because he knows he's not up to it.
  8. True, but some of our fans have it even tougher. Society demands Facebook likes, so many are still posting after their lobotomies.
  9. You could say he's winging it, but there's literally nothing that could be further from the truth. He absolutely prefers going nowhere.
  10. Hulk's dug his own grave, now he needs to climb in it. I'll push the soil over the top and prepare his RIP Goal Hero plaque.
  11. It could happen, that doesn't mean it will, but you should get real if you think we will resist every single advance absolutely from now until we win the Champions League. For an entertainment business owner, there is always a balance to be struck between stoking the emotional (generating hope) and being pragmatic (raising funds). We just don't like the pragmatism suggested here because it messes with our karma and the narrative of our fast tracked, never ending glorious rise.
  12. He reminds me of Dalgleish with his direct running, industry, insanely good shielding of the ball and wicked shot. But in truth, like an outrageous golfer, he's all about the angles, so from here on in, I'm Christening him slide rule McGinn.
  13. Second half noticeably better than the first, but some nice passing football in both. Jota making things tick.
  14. Taylor is utterly terrified of going forwards. He always passes backwards or sideways. Totally unfit for Premier League.
  15. On here, mostly yes. On Facebook and Twitter, forget it. Word salad idiocy.
  16. Good luck with that. The positive/negative argument pops up every year regardless of who is in charge or how we are doing. Arguing for a balanced appreciation of the team's progress is next to impossible in this modern age of entitlement and internet enabled 'free speech'. Too many rough arse mongs with fingers.
  17. Fair enough to reserve judgement, but I'm an expert baker of humble pie, so please ensure you remind me of your preseason worry later in the year and I'll be glad to serve you up a slice.
  18. Totally agree re: Taylor - he is the definition of 6 out 10 when playing at his absolute best. Never better than just above average, which as you say, is not good enough for the Premier League, so let's pray Targett doesn't get injured.
