  1. Hmm, thank you! Quite a few question marks by the sounds of it.
  2. Ha! Did you already comment on him in the Wesley thread? If not, what are your views on him?
  3. Thanks for the insight @Linkert, what was the injury? Do you think his drop in standards is purely down to the player's frustration with the injury? Hard to know I guess. The acting up to get a move certainly raises question marks. Finally, what makes him class in your opinion and do you think he will go this window?
  4. Precisely. Before anyone says it, Taylor did improve in line with the general uplift in results last year, but he isn't good enough for the Premier League. Delighted we've replaced him with Targett and will instantly fear the worst, if he gets injured or sent off.
  5. Deliciously comfortable on the ball, strong as an ox, pings it like Sevvy and has a shot on him. Clearly, not just a DM. This kid could be our fulcrum.
  6. Come on Big Al, I know you're weary after all those years of heavy lying, but this is your cue. We've done most of the work for you, so fire up the old Sun Exclusive headline and get creative!
  7. For the last month and still hasn't signed, so maybe, but I think we definitely are interesting to him.
  8. Come on mate, you can do better than that. We need a ridiculous, overblown criticism from you. This just seems half-hearted.
  9. Anyone else starting to get that pukey feeling when you've eaten too much rich food?
  10. Oh I agree and 100% hope they are right, which is infinitely more likely than me being right. At this stage though, in my opinion, with very little to go on, he feels like a punt.
  11. He may just raise his game with the pressure on. That seems to be the way for him at International level. He is the IC'c main man.
  12. Because.... He's Defoe in disguise
  13. Raw is often applied to age, but not exclusively and not how I meant it. In fact, not how I meant it at all because I was merely recalling something someone else had already said on here. As for why I mentioned it, we actually agree, he is a punt because you might hope someone of his age being brought into the Premier League was more of a finished product. We will see if his raw talent is enough.
  14. Raw as in unfinished, not age. And that's why he's a punt.
  15. Described earlier on here as a raw talent I think, so very definitely a punt.
  16. True. Although, I think his all round game improved the longer he played, so hopefully the same will be true for this new chap. Thinking back though, we were caught out quite a lot last year from headed goals at corners and free kicks. West Brom in the away leg being just one example.
