  1. Let him go - we will move onwards and upwards far more than he will.
  2. At least not buying a keeper saves us some dough
  3. Bunn is as shit as Guzan and that is very bad indeed - I'd have stuck with gollini but I wish Johnstone well and hope he succeeds .
  4. His contract ends in July so the right price may tempt them but certainly not the £4m reported.
  5. Now the Mail are reporting Kozak being quoted and pictured regarding the move was all an elaborate New Years joke by him and the czech club which apparently is a tradition over there - hardly funny for anyone concerned. Aston Villa’s forgotten man Libor Kozak was part of a New Year wind-up in his homeland. According to reports in the Czech Republic, Kozak had agreed to join FC Opava on a six-month loan deal, however the story was all part of a December 31 prank. Kozak was pictured on FC Opava’s website with club officials and was quoted as saying: “I had a couple of offers from Italy, but in the end I decided on Opava." However he later posted that it was 'just a joke' and part of a New Year tradition in his country of birth.
  6. Gone on loan for 6 months to some chech side apparently
  7. Maybe going to use toner as the cover now he's returned from loan
  8. Nigel spink told radio wm he's heard a rumour rhodes has been at bodymoor Heath - hope its true as he is a natural finisher.
  9. Certainly our biggest goal threat so far this season - we miss him far more than we will ayew
  10. Certainly more of a goal threat than our current midfield but as you say we need to buy another in there at least besides him to strengthen midfield
  11. Gardner hasn't been the same player since his bad injuries - whether it plays on his mind I don't know but he doesn't put himself about and shirks challenges in my view - don't think he will make it here .
  12. I felt he should have done better for the Leeds goal and the Cardiff goal - he is not the answer and I'd rather gollini than him although I suspect it will be neither in goal at wolves. regarding midfield hourihane should be got in as one of two new signings in that area .
  13. The other positive being that he must have surely now seen bunn for what he is and hopefully decided all 3 are not good enough for this club
  14. Was more taken aback at the suggestion he'd flourish at arsenal or Liverpool - flush the toilets maybe .
  15. If we have to pay £6m for hourihane so be it - would be worth the outlay considering we would get that for gestede - Barnsley would surely jump at that deal and villa are still a big pull for players like hourihane - let's do it ! Could make a huge difference to where we finish .
  16. Hourihane for me would be a great signing - exactly what's needed and with passion and desire too at a decent price due to his contract situation - he would be my first target in midfield but I think we need another too in that area as well as a couple elsewhere.
  17. He has baggage that's true but is undoubtedly an improvement on what we have .
  18. Another decent option and d expect forest would rather deal with us than derby
  19. The 2 you have named would be excellent additions and transform our midfield
  20. Bunn is dreadful - at least gollini has potential and hasn't been that bad in my opinion - no doubt Johnstone will be better than bunn but will he be better than gollini?
  21. I have been impressed with his use of subs this season but agree the decision not to use ayew at all was odd sInce we had asked permIssion to extend hIs stay .
  22. We will let you count the wembley play off final as a home game
  23. I'm happy we got Bruce although some of his decisions have me baffled - I feel gollini didn't deserve to be dropped for the hapless bunn and also tish should have got his chance long before now - that said I'd have taken the points tally obtained by Bruce so far and hope he can bring in the players he wants to improve us this month. the play offs are still within reach but we cannot afford any more slip ups like yesterday and need to be bang on our game from the start - I feel we need 4 or 5 to come in this month and let's see where we are then .
  24. According to popular stats site WhoScored, Tshibola had 47 touches during the second-half while the two men who made way in the heart of the midfield, Westwood and Gardner, had a combined nine touches of the ball. READ MORE Cardiff City press blast Aston Villa 'whinger' Jack Grealish Westwood made two passes in the 45 minutes he was on the field, whereas Gardner only made four - completing three of them. Villa have been consistently linked with Conor Hourihane, who would be available on the cheap with his Barnsley contract expiring at the end of the season.
