I think he (and others) did more than enough today. Yea they were up against 2nd half but I have seen the older players do the same. What we have right now is a bunch of kids with potential. You hope that turns into something but slagging them off before they have had a chance is just wrong. The only 1 that has had that chance and needs to now step up now is Albrighton. The others should be given time to improve and days like today will do that. Look at other teams. They pay big money for potential and then have them sit on the bench. How long did it take for Bale to get up and running? I didn't notice any Henderson standing out today but isn't he meant to a superstar in the making.

He should keep his place based upon what he did today. He won't but should.

Good choice, Chicago is a great city in the summer (to damn cold in the winter). I have never been to Portland which is why I am looking at that and Portland have some great supporters. They have a waiting for season tickets and create a tremendous atmosphere. Just hope they all show up for the Villa game.

I like it. don't care what others say, these teams will give us a game. Not going to Philly but Chicago and then onto Portland could be on. Portland have great supporters. At least from what I have seen of them they do. Stayed in the same hotel as Villa when they came to Columbus. Great couple of days - even though that city had nothing to offer.

Warnock was fine today. In fact the effort he puts into his blocks and tackles is very good. A couple of dodgey passes but everyone is guilty of that.

Daft!!! Van Persie missed an easier chance today. Should he be dropped?. He may not start next game but not for missing a header after a couple of minutes of your debut.

Before we signed Delph I had no idea who he was but so many people on this site kept saying what a great player he would be. So I waited and waited but all I ever saw was a player that couldn't pass, couldn't control the ball, wanted too much time on the ball and was pretty reckless in tackles. I am not sorry he is gone I saw more in Herd during his few games than ever I saw in Delph.

What is wrong with you all.... The West Ham shirt looks OK and what if we were treated with some respect and had shirts available in summer, etc. What is the big deal? The only question marks recently have been Heskey in midfield and Hutton at the back. Everybody else thumbs up and that includes zoggy

Heaven forbid we have a midfield player that gets stuck in!! To me he looked really good today. I was sitting there thinking if he can play like this we just may have a player on our hands. It wasn't a red card but of he picks up 1 or 2 a season 'covering his shortcomings' :winkold: I have no complaints

Don't know about the game as I am mile away too but book yourself onto the Villa Park tour (via offical web site) and have a meal in Holte Pub afterwards. I did that this summer with my son and welll worth it.

If it is true he will take a 25K a week pay cut to join us, then I for one will support him every step of the way. We need players that want to play for us and are happy to be on our team. The rest can FO and rot in hell when they realize that the grass is not always greener!!

General..... stay!! I can't say anymore than that. The last 12 months have been an absolute disastar and then Randy goes against the wishes of 99% of all Villa fans with AM. There is no way out of it but to hang on in there, replace the departing players with ones that have appeal and then get off to a good start. If that happens all will be slowly forgotten and your thread will return to normal, Of course a bad start and the revolt will truley begin. I trust in Randy that he wants nothing more than the very best for Villa so people that think otherwise are wrong but I do question if he realizes what he potentially has done. I will support him and Villa but if I was the owner I would never in a million years have taken the club in the direction he has. ..... it just wasn't worth the risk. I look forward to at least 1 more year of your posts.

A young player is sent out to a upper table championship team, their fans take to him and you are troubled by this..... wow. Hate to snap you out of your we are are a top team dream but if Leeds take him back, you could see him back at Villa Park the season after next on a team that is at our level. I hope not though - I hate Leeds!!!
