  1. Ooo, a Digne fan I see. Jokes aside Digne is a baller and I'm glad we have him.
  2. Targett was right to move, he's playing well with a coach that actually plays to his players strengths instead of binning them off for a shiny new toy because he's a crap tactician.
  3. The more he talks the more I'm starting to dislike his approach. It just seems to me like he's throwing certain players under the bus and using them to excuse our poor performances. It's even more bizarre when he hasn't even given those players a decent chance, instead favouring others who aren't even playing well themselves. It's worrisome. I really do hope I'm wrong. What happened to tactics, rotation, man management and making the most out of your squad? Chambers, Targett, Sanson, Bailey, Traore -- these aren't poor players by any stretch of the imagination.
  4. We're even more **** if Beale leaves.
  5. I was wrong, as mentioned they managed to qualify from the group stage each year which is fair enough.
  6. Looking at last seasons competition they managed to beat the heavyweight giants Lech Poznań and Standard Liège. Respectable, not incredible.
  7. I think we can do better than throwing another 100m at the wall and seeing what sticks.
  8. I imagine it's because our poorly coached midfield is even further exposed when we play 2 up top, which seems to be the only way we can grind out ugly results. Boring, hopeless football.
  9. No plan B. Never rotated players or showed any flexibility when issues started to arise as they had at the start of this season. Not to mention they were utterly useless in Europe until van Bronckhorst took over, which, after all, is where we are aiming to be. That criticism. I concede to the point of them winning the league but come on... it's Scotland.. and Celtic were shit at the time.
  10. John McGinn is the problem. Play him at #10 or don't play him at all.
  11. Blame the system, formation, game plan, players chosen, instructions given. Pick one. All of those factors influence how the players perform. A rough example: if players stand still because of instruction and we play with no width a player can often be on the ball with no-one to pass to. What does he do? Lump it forward. That's not his fault. That is the managements fault because of how we are set up.
  12. This deal may just bite us in the arse.
  13. He can be a frustrating player but he's the least of our worries.
  14. It won't ever happen but I really hope we look for another manager in the summer. Call me reactionary, call me fickle. Happy to have a dialogue if people disagree. All of the criticism aimed at him from the Rangers fans are ringing true and it's not good enough. We shouldn't need another 100m to put in a decent performance here and there and finish top half.
  15. That goal is a result of individual talent. Great by Digne and great by Watkins.
  16. John McGinn can't pass a ball and we have Chukwuemeka and Sanson on the bench.
  17. Really missing a game plan and any sense of cohesion.
  18. Oh look it's Chambers, the bloke who should have started.
  19. Indeed. Gerrard's insistence on playing him whilst leaving Ramsey, Sanson, Chuk and Buendia scratching their arses on the bench is alarming.
  20. McGinn can only play in an underdog side battling on the counter. Hence why week in, week out he looks dog shit and then plays well against Liverpool. Shame Gerrard and co. can't seem to figure that out and keep leaving our ball-playing players on the bench.
  21. Yeah... buuuuut.... long balls to Watkins and Ings!!!!
  22. .. because Coutinho is Gerrard's best mate and the coaching staff have the tactical flexibility of a wooden spoon.
  23. As excited as I am about our future Gerrard can **** off with these lineups.
