I'd pick Carlos, Chambers and Konsa over Mings personally.

It very much is, but McGinn shouldn't be starting either so Gerrard has shot himself in the foot here.

He's not good enough to play week in, week out. This will hopefully give him a kick up the arse to start performing more consistently. For what it's worth neither is McGinn but Gerrard has his favourites.

It means nothing if he sticks with the same 11 time after time. If players impress, give them the damn shirt. I'm hoping we've turned a corner here given the opposition and Gerrard will be more confident in shaking things up. He's proven that already with the captaincy being up in the air.
