  1. Another injured and mismanaged asset to add to the list. Sigh.
  2. Leeds, Newcastle and Brighton are shining examples of what a coach can do to a team.
  3. What are players meant to do if the shape means they have no-one to pass to? What are they meant to do when the teams instructions are all over the place and so there is no rhythm or pattern to our play? You're literally expecting the lads to dribble around Premier League players or lose the ball. The Premier League is a league of fine margins. Most players are in the top 0.1% of their craft and you have to be in a working, cohesive system to not look completely out of your depth.

Champions League winning sides were, after all, built on set piece specialists who look a little bit too much like your elderly neighbour.
  5. Not to mention McGinn isn't playing at right back.
  6. Pop your head in every now and then and throw a bit of abuse his way. It helps. It's very therapeutic and helps ease the pain when the realisation sinks in that we're stuck with him for the time being and when we do eventually cut him loose we'll have to pay him a few million pounds for being shit at his job.
  7. I've slept on it and I'm still certain he is the worst manager we've had in recent memory. Dare I say I'd rather have di Matteo or Tactics Tim.
  8. It must be because the likes of France international Luca Digne and Brazil international Douglas Luiz just aren't at the races. What a conundrum for poor Steven Gerrard.
  9. The team shape is unorganised, there are no tactics and he favours underperforming personnel at the expense of others who deserve a chance. There ya go, close the thread.
  10. He's comfortably better than Konsa in every aspect of the game but Gerrard doesn't fancy him. It's as simple as that.
  11. Blind. If a player scores a tap-in and then goes on to continuously lose possession and get sent off you'd be happy?
  12. That's a great point, I agree.
  13. Largely I agree with you but he also would never, ever drop or sub McGinn.
  14. I have a tear in my eye. VillaTalk. United as one. All it took was Gerrard pissing our best squad in decades up the wall.
  15. Gerrard has to be one of, if not the, worst managers we've ever had. Our squad is **** electric on paper.
  16. Let me get this straight Gezza. You've had your pre-season, now have a fully fit Leon Bailey and have been bolstered by one of the most sought after #6's in the game in Boubacar Kamara and we look worse? You're a **** fraud. Get out of this club now.
  17. It's a shame it has taken people so long to see just how bad we are. The rot started long ago.
  18. That's a 50 vote swing after one match. Fickle bastards.
  19. For sure. Many star players also run on instinct alone.
  20. He's simply being played out of position and run into the ground. It's not rocket science.
  21. Who could've foreseen Steven Gerrard's biggest fault being an inability to organise a midfield. It's hilarious when you think about it.
  22. ..and so we have finally graduated from disappointment to embarrassment. Things will get ugly with our next 3 games.
