Only one of us can be right? Either he is "awful" or he's as good as I've said. It's your opinion that my observations based on last season's statistics are nonsense. Fact is, compared to the rest of the squad, he did have a good season, because when he played generally the team did well. Don't sound surprised all over again as I've posted the stats again and again. He was also noted in media for his astonishing crossing accuracy. These are the stats that showed we should have kept him. What happened was, Lambert bought in Westwood over the previous summer and decided to stick with where he spent his money and sell Bannan. The best thing we can hope for if Bannan does a Ramsey on the back of much higher confidence levels is Palace get relegated we offer to buy him back, and Bannan still would like to come back. At first, I just thought Con was just stubborn and didn't want to go back on what he had said about Bannan. Statements like this ^ however, make it clear that Con is just spouting nonsense in the hope someone will try to disagree with him and he will presumably get some sort of small kick out of it.

IMO we should place a bid for him in January. He's obviously matured a lot as a player in the few months since he's left, seeing that quality strike today, about 10-15 million would be a good deal IMO.

Glad Andi's back and playing, and Tonev back on bench. Obviously i'm glad he's back too. However i personally thought Tonev showed enough against Cardiff to get another chance in the next game.

Reeeaaalllly hope Lambert doesn't drop Tonev in place of Weimann, can see it happening though being one of his favourites.

In response to those saying how hard he works for Villa - from what I saw he didn't break stride all game, and barely has all season. Just seems to float around the pitch, being slightly too late for every interception/tackle and offering ultimately f*** all.

Really hope Lambert doesn't put Weimann in the side if it's at the expense of this lad, offers so much more as a winger. (Still think Weimann's a good player, just as a striker, he just looks out of position and resultingly poor outwide)

Thought he played a lot better than he has done today, looks like he's starting to get used to the pace of the league. BTW, can someone explain why his head withdraws back in to his body when he goes for a header?

Actually thought he looked proper decent today, best performance so far. With the exception of that one awful shot towards the north stand his shooting didn't look as sh*t as it usually does either.

Looked like an empty crisp packet floating around the pitch, AGAIN. One or two decent games in a Villa shirt isn't enough for him ever be in the starting XI for me.
