  1. Creative history. if this were the case, rather than just Tim hadn't a clue, explain why Richardson was starting some matches ahead of Amavi BEFORE Amavi's knee was destroyed.
  2. I truly have trouble understanding posters who seem to go out of their way to consistently post negative arguments that we are shit and always will be shit. I find myself liking overly rosy, high confidence posts, not because I think they are any better at foretelling the future, but because they don't require me to up my medications.
  3. The problem with the "plan for the worst" idea is that, in this case, planning for the worst (signing young, eager talent, or signing no-one) virtually guarantees the worst. It pretty much determines that all "hope for the best" is a pipe dream. "Plan for the worst" is, within the limitations of relegation and a limited transfer window, a really BAD plan.
  4. I never claimed to be a good business man, and if you think someone would pay 12 million for Jack right now, you're delusional. He is tested, and has shown no end product. Now, would you like to discuss our relative business acumen, or my point?
  5. I truly think we would be lucky to get 2 million $ for him. He's all art and no product to this point. I think he can be more. But he just hasn't shown it. Ever.
  6. Sorry to interrupt a string of many positive posts about a player, but if he does not stop marking the runner on the weak side he can just @&@@ off
  7. Guzan's job instantly in jeopardy after that picture.
  8. so, about this Grealish kid...... what do you think anyone would pay for him in the window?
  9. negativity of fans becomes just as much habit as negativity in tactics, players and managers.
  10. I'd be happy to sell him if anybody would give anything for him. Bags of potential but no end product and no work ethic . If you think he's great, what do you think we could get for him?
  11. Watford is important. Every match is now, but Watford being not exactly Big Sky and the timing after the Everton mess make Watford even bigger. When Remi came I was hoping for 4 points from the first three matches. Pretty rediculous to have hoped for more. So a win and we're right on track. A draw and we're still better than I expected from Sherwood.
  12. Seriously?!? I've seen VT scapegoat players much worse than this. Like most of the others, this one is a bit less than half earned.
  13. with all respect to you as a human being. I just simply could not disagree more with this comment.
  14. I think the talent and skills of Grealish are obvious. What I'm not seeing is impact. All the talent and skill in the world is very attractive. It just needs to produce a result. Otherwise it's just art. Sorry but in sport, outside gymnastics, no points are given for art. I actually found myself annoyed at the bejeweled backpack he carried into Everton. It reminded me of what frustrates me about him. He's all attractive art. We need somebody to frequently create scoring chances, frequently score goals, and frequently frustrate an opponent trying to do the same. THAT's what Jack isn't doing.
  15. Good post, defined by the fact that I agree with every word. The one shot he took on Saturday right footed was too central but it had to scare Tim Howard it was moving and jumping in the air. He used to be a decent, pacey, left winger with a wicked shot. Those days are gone. For him and for me... but for me they never happened. :)
  16. -------------------Guzan----------------- Hutton Richards Clark Crespo Sanchez Bacuna Gil Gana Ayew Gestede
  17. Westwood has had plenty of time to develop in this league, Veretout has not. To me, Veretout shows effort and intelligence, what he lacks is quickness of thought and feet. Some develop it when challenged at the higher speed of play. Some don't. Time will tell but if I were a betting man I'd put money on Veretout.
  18. Bollocks, Crowd turning on players will be a good thing. Utter tosh. I understand the frustration behind it, mind, but the conclusion is foolishness.
  19. not the line-up I was expecting. I think Remi is thinking more offensively than I would expect we are ready for. It would be lovely if he's right.
  20. Can you provide that refresher on what "on another day" means, on another day?
  21. I agree that Hutton is a better defender than Bacuna, but I'm afraid that says something really, really bad about Bacuna. Hutton cannot seem to mark runners on the weak side.
  22. Even in the directors room you can have alcohol in the room, but you cannot carry a cup out into the stadium seats. It doesn't matter what's in the cup because "others can't know what it is you are drinking."
  23. I thought Sherwood taught us to quit trying to play with Round pegs.
