  1. I think if we stay up which I think we will and probably comfortably too. I can see in the summer a massive push from our board to get some real quality in.
  2. It’s about perception as much as anything, he is our best player by a country mile and he is our only player including mcginn that is irreplaceable. A huge contract shows ambition to keep our best player, makes him even more expensive for other clubs and actually rewards him for his performance in the premier league. Im sure his contract was a fantastic championship contract and I imagine he was easily the highest paid player but this is the premier league and he deserves the best deal we can offer. As for the other players then it’s simple, match his skill and influence and similar money will follow until then you get what your worth. I believe Barca renegotiate with Messi almost every year so why wouldn’t we do what we can to make our best player happy. (And no I’m not saying he is as good as Messi)
  3. Yes in the championship we are in the premier league now and he is showing he is a top premier league player not a top championship player. If we don’t pay him somebody else will.
  4. Lazy journalism as usual in the mirror “Man Utd might consider a bid for Grealish” as if that wasn’t going to get written after that goal. Are all football journalist generically obvious. that being said why isn’t he being offered a massive new contract right now.
  5. The funniest part of Robbie The lol in this conversation is Tottenham. A side that hasn’t won a trophy for 12 years and that was the league cup 1991 is the last time they even won the FA cup. In that time they Wigan have won the FA cup and Leicester have won the league. To put spurs in the same sentence as clubs like Man City and Chelsea who have actually won stuff us laughable. Plus spurs would actually have pay money to get him which is a problem for them. Clearly having a nice ground and winning nothing makes you a big club!!! Joke club
  6. Piss poor. Sitting back waiting to be beaten by an average Arsenal side who spent have the match with ten men. Not a chance we stay up this year and rightly so. We are a blight on this league. Look how much better equipped Norwich and Sheffield Utd are without spending money.
  7. That’s a lol if I’ve ever seen one. Good attempt to get a bite though.
  8. Positives for sure but I hope no team fears spurs they are very average if they finish top 4 this league is poor
  9. I think as good a servant as he has been for us in terms of loyalty if not playing ability (thinking about that penalty he gave away against reading) I would say this is business and getting a few million back given his age at this point we should be snapping hands off.
  10. Agreed looks like this won’t be happening and yes well worth doing the Wembley tour
  11. Not that this counts for much but i was on a Wembley stadium tour on Saturday and the was 2 guys from Egypt on the tour. I asked them about this guy and they both said he is nearly as good as Salah. I guess that’s to be expected really but they did rate him highly
  12. Just been looking at a potential Ryan sessegnon bid in one of the papers. I’m presuming the is nothing in that other than paper talk?
  13. We are not Fulham and I can’t see us changing manager 3 times in a year. Plus they essentially brought in a load of players and tried to work out how they fit as oppose to what I feel we are doing which is buy players to fit how DS wants to play. Also they dropped Cairney who I know is not as good but is almost time us dropping Jack which I think really effected them by driving a wedge between new and old players.
  14. Guillem Balague says he is a “top top player” if that’s true that’s all I care about, couldn’t care less about by back clauses etc. If he fits into our style of play and is a significant improvement on what we have there right now than I’m more than happy.
  15. I see this as a good signing for the style we want to play and I see him having no trouble fitting in to our side straight away. For the money paid I think it’s a solid signing. Also noticed Southampton have used the money already to sign Adams for £15 mill. Can’t help feeling the scum have had there pants pulled down a bit there. £15 mill for one of the top championship strikers and he is only 22.
  16. Funny thing is we have different referee’s every game who all think he is fouled so either they are all wrong or he gets fouled a lot.
  17. I don’t dislike Tammy but Gayle is the best striker in this league has been for years
  18. 1-0 after two legs. Can’t give sides like West Brom a head start they will sit on there own box for the next game and a half
  19. Hernandez the most creative player on the pitch. Wtf
  20. Seems very laboured and lazy today this performance
  21. Massive sympathy for the supporters seeing the issues with this club. I think along with the premier league money killing teams that once were established premier league teams, Bolton like Wigan and others in greater Manchester are starting to suffer crowd wise from the man city effect. I imagine it’s hard enough to stop supports going to watch united but now they have city to contend with too.
  22. Our goal difference is 11 better than anyone near us so that’s worth another point
