Life is always about ifs and buts, so we can't leave that behind. I'm sure after Villa's next game we will be talking ifs and buts. In your opinion he isn't very good, and I agree last year he was very poor, but we have also seen Gabby terrify teams. He is only just about to turn 30, and if he stays in shape, he could still be an asset to the team. I'm not saying he should start, but an impact sub he certainly can be.

Yes, I would have. We had three defenders on the bench if I remember right, so I would have put him on. The Gabby of last year was very poor, signs are he has least got fitter for this season. He is our record goal scorer, even if his goal to starts isn't great. If he had been on, and truly wanted it, he would have hustled their defenders and given them very little time on the ball to make the better pass. This could of taken some pressure of the rest of the players. A few ifs and buts, but I would have given him a try. I still would like to know why he has been canned and others haven't? I don't think he would of said he wanted to leave.

Kicked it well, just wrong direction. Defender has some of the blame also. He should never have let the player run past him like that.

As poor in the 2nd half as we dominate the first. Chances need to be taken when offered, or as we have seen many times you pay the price. Poor goalkeeping for the goal, ball needs to go wide not straight down the pitch. Most players trying to block the ball will be running straight at the keeper. Elphick could have done better at blocking the attacker off also.

If he has no future, then why play him in the reserves? Why not play someone who has a chance of pushing for the first team. I'm worried he still has a future here.

Because he is a human being after all. No matter how he may have performed I don't wish ill on anyone. I just would hope when he looks back on it all, he learned from his mistakes and was able to change. I think we are all owed that. He's not the greatest goalscorer, or the brightest tool in the book, but over the years he has given us some good experiences. Where is he going to go? I don't think he will go to a Championship team, as if he is the Villa fan he suggests, he wouldn't want to be a reason for us not getting promoted. Maybe, one of the promoted sides in the Premier League might take him.e He was abysmal last season, and very poor professional, but seems he has got himself back into shape for this season. Well he dived in head first for the 2nd goal, and left Okore all alone. The OG, he fell over with the slightest of nudges looking for a free kick.He should have stood the player up, and the ball wouldn't even have been crossed in. Basics, as a defender, you don't dive in, and you stay on your feet. As I said earlier, Okore is not a left sided CB and got his feet messed up, and reacted poorly. Considering he looks like he may have some talent, he isn't seeming to use it. He should be taking teams like Luton apart, but he isn't and doesn't seem like he wants to. He picks up the ball, does a couple of shimmys, cuts inside, then lays the ball off. He needs to start going at players with confidence, and believing he is better than the. At the moment, he is doing enough creatively on the ball. He should be able to play anywhere across the field and have an influence. Sadly, showing nothing more than any of the home grown talent at present.

He had a very good first half playing along side Baker, second half with Richards was a shambles. If you watch the start of the 2nd hlaf, it looked like he was positioned at RCB, and Richards LCB. They get in a right old mess early on and switch. Not sure who made that call, but Okore didn't fair too well there. I think he very good cover for Elphick, but not for Baker.

Our weakness is at RB, so I'd be paying over the odds to get someone in there as priority. Not saying we don't need one more, but wouldn't pay over $8 million for him.
