  1. may 25th Carl Froch v Mikkel Kessler all agreed, the deal has been done I cant help but think that Kessler has left it too late now, I know he has been plagued by injuries but where he has only had 3 fights since he fought Froch (and lets be honest he didn't look great against Allan Green and Magee was a bit of a joke fight) Froch has had 5 fights against big names (Abraham, Johnson, Ward, Bute and Mack) and since he lost to Ward he looks like he has made great strides and his confidence is absolutely sky high I just cant see Kessler winning this one, if it wasn't for injuries and if the fight would have took place earlier then I would probably have gone for Kessler but I think the tide has turned now
  2. my phone hasn't stopped getting **** updates about this all day the full bill is Ricky Burns V Vasquez Cleverley V Krasniqi George Groves V Mohamed Ali NDiaye Dereck Chisora V TBA Liam Walsh V Logan McGuinness This is the type of fight that I have been waiting for Burns to have as well, I have said in his previous fights that I dont think he is as good as he has looked in his last few outings if that makes sense. there is a couple of decent fights coming up in the next few weeks as well, thank god Xmas is out of the way so we can get back to watching the boxing
  3. a cat is out of the question, my mom and dads dog would never forgive me if I got a cat. the dog in a man bag is a good idea but I think this would be better
  4. pretty much what I thought to be honest, I guess that the dog downstairs is just a rarity who gets on fine without a garden.
  5. nah I wouldn't be able to afford a dog sitter, our old dog was left alone for a fair few hours at a time (normally something like 7 till 12 and then 1 till 5:30 and she was fine) wouldn't want a cat, plus the dog downstairs would probably rip it apart
  6. rite then fellow VTers I am after some advice if possible. I am considering getting a dog, but don't know if its feasible or not. I have always had dog's since I was a kid and just lately I cant stop thinking about getting one to keep me company. the cons... I live in a two bedroom flat (it's a really decent sized flat so space isn't an issue) I live on my own I work (I'm normally out of the flat from 8am till 5:30pm) me and my old flatmate gave it a try before but the dog was seriously mistreated and had some major issues, you couldn't leave her alone for more than 90 seconds without her pissing and shitting every where or destroying everything, she would literally be left alone for 1 hour maximum when my flatmate was leaving for work and I was on my way home from work, it got to the point where we had to get rid of her. We did absolutely everything possible but after 6 months we realized that it was too much for us. the pro's the people downstairs have a boxer and he is absolutely fine (normally left alone from about 7:30am till 3pm. I could take it out for decent walks 2 or 3 times a day (before work, when I got home from work and again in the evening if needed) getting it out to do its business wouldn't be a problem when I was home (it's not like I would have to go down 5 flights of stairs every time it needed to go out) there are 3 good sized parks with in walking distance now if (and it is still a massive IF) I was to get one could it work with a dog being left alone for that long? what sort of breed would be the best to go for? preferably a medium sized dog which typically only needs small to medium amounts of exercise and is quite calm by nature. as I say it is just a question I more than likely wont end up getting one because of the time issue of it being left on its own but was just wondering what peoples thoughts were or if anyone here has had a dog in a similar situation.
  7. I thought Django was really good as well. I do also think that it is about time that Tarantino moved away from the ''B movie'' theme, I mean yeah he is a great director and I know there are some people that are ridiculously huge fans of his but his films all seem to be going in the same sort of direction now Kill Bill Kill Bill 2 Grindhouse Deathproof Inglorious barsterds Django unchained I know that all directors have their own style but these one have all been shot in the same sort of ''comic book'' way, the dialogue is instantly Tarantino and everyone has the over the top CGI comic book gore with the typical Tarantino soundtrack I would just like to see him try his hand at something a little bit new for his next film. I know I will probably get absolutely slated for that opinion
  8. just got promotion with mansfield, **** buzzing finished 5th in the league and won the playoffs
  9. if there was something bought about that stopped you from selling games would the prices drop quite considerably? If there is no sell on value in games then surely they wouldn't be able to continue selling them for £45, aren't PC games quite a bit cheaper than console games? I don't know I am just having a guess at that by the way
  10. this is how the league is looking at the moment, being in third place is pretty good after the way it shafted me at the start of the season, the only problem with the lower leagues is the ridiculous amount of games you have to play in a season, 40+ games is a **** chore to get through
  11. ok then I went out and bought one of these disposable ones for £4 and was using it yesterday (in conjunction with about 10 fags I had left) still going on it today and I have only been picking it up and having a few drags at a time...at the moment though I am seriously thinking about going to the shop to buy some. I have been fine on it all day but now I just really fancy a proper smoke, I have a few patches in a cupboard somewhere I mite put one on to help get me through this brutal spell. oh and my last actual fag was at about 5pm yesterday
  12. Just about to go and make some marmite pasta
  13. awesome, Heavy Rain is possibly my favorite game of the last 10 years so I'll definitely be giving this one a look. Only problem is that it'll probably be the last game that I buy that isn't part of the fifa, FM, or fight night series because they end up being a waste of money after I lose interest in them after 7 days. isn't there a new tomb raider game coming out this year as well???
  14. Just finished Good book, I can definitely see where the comparisons to E.A. Poe and H.P. Lovecraft (more so the Lovecraftian twist than the style of Poe) The thing that is good about the book is that it isn't overly violent or gory, it is merely implied and your own imagination has to do the rest with it and it works really well. now I am going to start
  15. I often used to lie in bed and have a fiddle, didn't know what I was doing but knew it felt amazing, first time I full on bashed it though I was lying in bed and thinking about a girl from school...still remember her name as well lol, shit myself when I erupted I didn't have a clue what was going on. I must have been about 11 or 12 as well cuz I was in year 7 at school
  16. I work for the direct line group (it covers churchill, direct line, prudential, privilege, NIG etc etc) you wont have anything to worry about mate, speak to your insurance and they will arrange for an engineer to come out and inspect your car, they will just check to see if the damage to your car (if there is any) is consistent with the damage/injuries that the other turds are claiming for, as soon as the engineer see's that there is no damage to your car they will inform your insurance company they will forward the photo's that the engineer took and the claim will be thrown out. as I say just have a word with your insurance and they will sort it all for you
  17. I was tempted to do that to be honest but I have stuck with it and now the league looks like this 1ST - STOCKPORT - P 12 - W 9 - D - 1 - L - 2 PTS - 28 2ND - MANSFIELD - P 12 - W 8 - D - 3 - L - 1 PTS 27 still in with a shout...COME ON YOU STAGS, lets just hope I dont get them cheating bastards liverpool in the cup
  18. Just hung this up in my flat
  19. Played 6 games and I'm 5th in the league now, could be worse but I'm still pissed off
  20. I only started it up tonight and I was half way through my 7th game and top of the league, just re-loaded it and I have only played 2 games, gotta trawl through these next 5 games now, if I'm not in the same position after these matches I'm gunna be majorly pissed off
  21. So **** **** off, I was smashing it with Mansfield and my laptop has just died on me, I ain't got a **** clue when it last autosaved, just waiting for it to load up again now to see what the damage is
  22. I bought two books last night by Thomas ligotti, he apparently takes a lot of influence from Poe and lovecraft which sits well with me as they are two of my favourites. The first one I am reading at the moment is "my work is not yet done" which seems pretty good but I'm still early on in it so I'll say more once I have finished it The second one (the one I am really looking forward to reading) is called something like "teatro grotesco" a collection of short stories. Hopefully I will have found a new author and will be able to delve into the back catalogue and uncover a few gems
  23. its brilliant, made up completely of newspaper articles and interviews. 10 out of 10 for me, I mite even pick it up and read a bit of it now, I dont know which parts were better the parts when they are describing how brilliant he was or the parts when they are describing how bat shit crazy he was. after he stopped playing football he took to dressing up like a copper and confiscating drugs, then there was the story about him stealing 2 swans and taking them on the team bus with him...or something like that
  24. my dad **** loves big brother, he doesn't understand why no one watches it these days I have to constantly remind him that I don't watch it and have no idea what the fook he is on about, this however will not stop him from giving me the lowdown on it every time I speak to him all that I know is that Toadfish out of Neighbours is in it are there any decent birds going in?
  25. Robin Friday I know he wasn't the GOAT but when people ask that question I always throw his name out and tell people to go and research him and they always come back wanting to know more about him. speak to any Reading fan about him and they will chew your side holes off for hours about him even though they never actually saw him play. The villa were interested in signing him but the manager (cant remember who it was at the time) decided that he would never be able to put up with the amount of shite that he caused for Charley Hurley. and he gave us this magnificent picture and more reason than any that he gets the accolade from me is that he volleyed Mark Lawrenson in the face during a game
