    Mysteries

I remember a comedy sketch where Toyah was trying to teach an actress those words. Time after time she tried with Toyah coaching her to try again and again....in the end the actress gave up and said "oh its no good Toyah ! I give up. I'll never be as bad as you !!"
  4. Thing is, you can understand their jealous bitterness, especially as they've now lost 2 of their favourite viler insults in "greasy" and "bacon face". It's gonna take the brains of SHA a good while to make up and settle on a stevie G insult.
  5. This story wound me up and reminded me of that phrase "...only in America !"
  6. Just had a look at sha and am pleased to report that they are NOT obsessed with us, as can be seen by the post count on the right hand side of their main page, although we've peed all over the bordesley station thread
  7. Well I only care about the risk to my club and not Gerrard's CV and I just can't shake off that fact that he'd be too much of one for us. Then again, I guess there's better qualified folk than me making this decision. True we'll have more media attention but I dunno, I still feel uneasy about it all.
  8. True but why should we be his guinea pig, especially the precarious position we're in ? That's what worries me mostly.

  10. Dropkick Murphys at the old hummingbird. I'm a fairly stocky bloke and can take care of myself but after the 3rd song I bottled it and stayed at the back, especially after seeing my younger and heavier set brother fall twice in 30 seconds. Back then though, everyone was your mate and he got picked up, rather than his pockets being picked.
  11. Perhaps he's gonna write another one or his massively popular songs, called " I ay bitter, ay I ?" and play it to CallmeFranksy ?
  12. I used to think it was a teenage boy but turns out Si is definitely female and is blind, so I guess she depends on radio coverage more than most of us. She annoyed me raving about Flabby Agbonlahor at a time when he couldn't be bothered to help our fight with relegation.
  13. Always hated Hanson and their bloody mmmm-bop !

    The NSWE Board

Exactly what I think. To quote that boss in Reggie Perrin..."I didn't get to where I am today without (sacking)...."
  15. This is what they live for, i really believe it. One old nose said on their forum that they hate vile more than they love da blose, but that's normal he added. Dont get me wrong; i have a chuckle when man ure lose but that's mainly me laughing at the glory hunters i work with, watching them sulk - grown men, faces like smacked arses, its pathetic. We are the midlands aristocracy and they (including sandwell town, Cov & the dogheads) are the plebs who brighten up their own sad existences by maximising their glee on our misfortune. It's just mildly irritating that this misfortune is dragging on now.
  16. I really can't stand that weasely snake
  17. My nephew is one of western Australia's more gifted cricketers as well as a hockey goalkeeper and regularly gets picked for both state and national performance squad training camps. He is 19 and will probably make more of an impact in hockey eventually and has already toured with the national team. The thing is, most if not all of these players are public school educated (including my nephew) so the facilities available to them are incredible. The schools are able to pay ex pros for coaching (graeme wood at my nephew's school, as well as adam gilchrist helping out as a dad of one of the pupils there). It is almost a closed shop for the rich kids. Then, within that shop are further levels, mainly that if ur from NSW then you're pretty much guaranteed to be picked for your country). It's very rare to see native Australians or those like usman kuwaja sustain a place in the team.
  18. I remember years ago, in the days of Geoffrey Borecott, going to see Warwick play Yorkshire in a B&H Cup match at Edgbaston. Yorkshire brought quite a few fans and a group of them frequently broke out in to a chorus of "we're all white, we're all white, we're all white !" especially whenever Gladstone Small was near the boundary rope. I was happy to see Warwick batter them on the pitch with only a snail's pace 50 from GB to cheer for the tykes. Wasn't it once a condition (for many years) that only Yorkshire men played for the county ?
