  1. Look what happens when you actually try to attack, McLeish? You get chances. Too little, too late though I'm afraid.
  2. Well some entertainment at last for the home fans!
  3. The bright side is that we might now actually see a Villa attack (not very likely though).
  4. And there is the usual goal from a set piece. Fantastic.
  5. yeah, **** all to do with the fact that we're playing one of the best teams in the world like Actually not that much. It's much more about how McLeish sets the team up with our back four defending as deep as possible and the midfielders keeping them company there, leaving the strikers miles apart from the other players. Then when we finally manage to get the ball we kick it long hoping that one of them will be lucky enough to get it. This isn't counter attacking football, it's just us defending and defending and giving City plenty of the ball so they can attack us again and again.
  6. Everton are a much better side than us. Herd & Petrov were out in Birmingham city centre last night at 4am, really professional behaviour by our model captain. Anywhere between 0-3 and 0-6. Did you see Herd and Petrov yourself, Razor? I find it incredibly hard to believe that a captain of a Premier League team would let himself be seen out and about at 4am the night before a game. Stupidity at the highest level. If it's true then it's a sorry state of affairs. But I just don't see it.
  7. I don't see why we always have to limit ourselves to cats. What about all the dogs available?
  8. I can see why people mention Redknapp but Alex McLeish is the better option, I think we all can agree on that. In fact if there is on thing that all of VT can agree on it is that McLeish should be the next England manager. Send Randy and his red haired friend (I honestly can't remember his name) over to FA headquarters and convince them that he's the man for the job.
  9. With respect for Norwich, I think Lambert would jump at the chance to manage a club like Villa. I mean Owen Coyle left Burnely for Bolton Wanderers. Both clubs are doing very similarly this season but I think most people would admit that Villa are the bigger club.
  10. I pray we can keep him! Hes already said he has no intention of leaving LA. and we all know how loyal football players are to their word! :winkold:
  11. Oh yeah I've been very critical of Hutton this season (rightly so, I think) but today he's been much, much better. Keep it up.
  12. I wasn't even worried when we went behind, we've played some good stuff at particularly difficult ground and we deserve to be at least level. The game is set up for us to go on now and win it. The one thing that still makes things difficult for us is the lack of movement of the midfielders and attacking players when we have the ball. We need more from them when the back four have the ball because they rarely have any options. This could be partly to do with Clark's inexperience at playing in that central midfield position (among other things).
  13. Away at Newcastle on a Sunday with Mark Halsey as the ref. We will lose.

    Snow Watch!

Just last week there was endless snow but most of it has gone now. I don't mind the cold so much but I've had enough of snow for now.
  15. Martin O'Neill really is a shit manager isn't he? I mean Sunderland might be winning games and climbing the table at an incredible rate but the football is just so poor and he's too slow in the transfer market and he just signs shit players. The Sunderland fans must be furious.
  16. Should have got a penalty and we controlled the second half (didn't see the first half) but still a draw at home to QPR is a very poor result. Ireland, N'Zogbia and Petrov all looked good though. Keane was good as well but faded a bit. Bannan didn't do much when he came on.
  17. What makes you think that? EDIT: Ah, I see that McLeish has mentioned him on the OS. Surely he'll only make the bench (if that)?
  18. Villa: Given, Hutton, Cuellar, Dunne, Warnock, Ireland, Clark, Petrov, Agbonlahor, Keane, Bent Subs: Guzan, Heskey, Bannan, Weimann, Lichaj, Baker, Gardner. No Collins, is he injured or on his way out? No Albrighton as well. Very happy with that lineup.
  19. Really excited about Gardner, shame about Ireland though.
