Just went on Betfair to stick a bit on Aldo as he was the underdog at around 2.6 last time I checked, which I thought was crazy, the odds are now pretty much evens each with Aldo the slight fave. Gutted I didn't get some on at the time was a brilliant price.

I was happy Lukaku just scored as he's in my team, but just had a quick look at the fantasy league table around me and it seems I'm surrounded by people who have him as captain so I hope he just sticks with the one today haha.

They clearly aren't very different things especially in the context they have been used, they have very similar connotations. Your demonstration has done little to clear anything up, what's the criteria for someone to have "proven" they can score that's so different to calling someone proven goalscorer ? That they've scored a goal before I suppose could be a strict definition, but this clearly adds no value to the discussion and isn't what is being implied by the term.

Being too kind there I think, It's proving some people have a completely false definition of the term. Whilst he's perhaps shown some promise for us in terms of starts or minutes played to goals, although a very small sample size, he's not been scoring regularly since he was at Opava, calling him a proven goalscorer is ridiculous.

Some of the things Sherwood has been blamed for and accused of really defy belief. There are enough hard facts to make the case that he was a poor football manager without having to resort to pure fantasy to further run his name through the mud

He seemed confident today, claimed high balls well. Nice to not feel nervy whenever the ball is around him for a change.

Are you joking? Our defence was an utter shambles for almost the entire 45 minutes, they missed guilt edge chance after guilt edge chance, it also didn't look too great in the second half. How quick and desperate you seem to be to turn todays point into a stick to beat Richards with is just sad.

Thought he was brilliant today. Broke up so many Southampton counter-attacks and some of his tackles were ridiculously good.

Deserved great performance aside from defensive frailties and what a celebration. Can't remember the last time we looked so dangerous from set-pieces.

You seem to have got the hump over the language remark. Think you're reading too much into it, what he has said is perfectly reasonable. Saying there was a bit of a communication breakdown due to the language barrier and Sherwood not being able get through with exactly what he wants isn't scapegoating the foreigners it sounds perfectly plausible to me and if anything is damning on the higher-ups for not accounting for what you'd assume was a fairly obvious situation rather than the players.

He hasn't exactly said anything that everyone doesn't already know. Sitting at the foot of the table but show next to no fight, the whole club needs a huge kick up the arse.

A couple of $M is just as obscene as $15M. Anything over a couple thousand dollars is, imo.

Not a big fan but it is getting to the point where you've got to ask why isn't he getting a chance. We really struggle getting the ball to stick once we get it up the pitch and whilst Gestede has the physicality to hold it up he can also trap a ball further than I can kick it, Kozak seems like he'd be a good balance between the two.
