  1. Sorry mods if it’s too general but as this relates to both us and the whole league thought I’d place this here . https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13271249/Premier-League-eyeing-ABOLISHING-points-deductions-introducing-NBA-style-luxury-tax-fears-stars-leave-rules-restrict-pay-Everton-Nottingham-Forest-lost-points.html
  2. Just read UTD are interested in Nice’s LB Melvin Bard - weren’t they interested in Digne previously - attack minded left back so maybe we could negotiate a Digne or Moreno plus £££ deal for him.
  3. Shame we couldn’t grab another goal back to keep the status quo in terms of GD. We move on and go again at the weekend which was always a more defining fixture. Even our best 11 could've been ripped apart by Citeh so no shame tonight.
  4. Our starting XI is comprised of either full or youth internationals - obviously not our 1st choice XI but it’s still full of talent and even at full strength Citeh could tear us apart. Let’s see how the first half pans out before righting the game off completely.
  5. Loads jizzed all over the fanatics designed Luke77 branded all claret shirt but I never really got the love for it. I don’t mind if we end up with something similar (the right shade of claret). It’s normal all about the sway and 3rd for me as have 20+ claret body blue sleeve shirts …
  6. Concept used on footy headlines article … https://www.footyheadlines.com/2024/03/aston-villa-to-have-new-kit-supplier-main-sponsor-next-season.html
  7. I wonder if there’s a deal we could do with Archer for Arblaster given the buy back clause?
  8. He’ll be halfway through his 6 year deal this summer so £50mill left to amortise - can see them accepting a small hit on him to get his £300k + wages off the books. If he were to do a Coutihno and accept a vastly reduced salary to facilitate a move and then if Emery wants him back I’d be all for it. They say never go back but Cowans played for us on 3 separate occasions and Grealish is up there with our best ever talents we’ve ever produced and could become a club legend if he were to return and shine.
  9. Very good player , would fit our style our play and much more realistic than Neves for sure ! https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/player-analysis-mats-wieffer/
  10. Yet you think Todibo is realistic and want us to sign Hojberg
  11. He is a great player and it’s easy to dismiss English talent against exotic foreign names I admit… Just not sure he propels us in quality as we need that’s all given the players we have unless he replaces Buendia perhaps in the squad.
  12. We need to up the quality of the first team and don’t see how Dewsbury-Hall elevates us good player that he is. Unrealistically someone like Neves would IMO, that’s the level we should be aiming at. If we make champions league then this summer we need readymade players and not someone who could maybe grow into it. We have brought a few project players recently and now need quality.
  13. And ? Still think out of the two Digne is the better player also over a longer period of time, whereas Moreno had a good few months only…
  14. It’s all about the business. Digne is the better player IMO and Miranda is 24 and has re-sale value and gives Sousa a season to develop. We cannot be sentimental and he’s not performed well enough for whatever factor but as long as we do not make a PSR / FFP loss on him I’d sell.
  15. Add Hermoso and Juan Miranda on frees - sell Moreno, The Donk, Chambers & Hause, then promote and utilise the youth in Kellyman & Co. We need quality not quantity.
  16. Blow budget and let’s go for João Neves
  17. I believe though this is a digital system… I think we are gunna see more and more sponsors logos blazoned around grounds like at MLB stadiums given the sheer global tv viewing figures…
  18. The stairwells at the ethihad now show sponsor logos. They’re rinsing every square inch for profit. https://stairmediaglobal.com/about-us/
  19. **** the BBC - they won’t be around in a decade or so plus they aren’t taking up the whole area …
  20. Any fantasy move would need to be near a major transport hub with the ability to regenerate the area for the clubs benefit so to make a multi use arena commercially viable. Walking distance from two major stations, trams, bus station and city centre. Better than an industrial estate in Aston.
  21. Sell him back to Betis or an other Spanish team and then sign Juan Miranda his replacement at Betis ironically on a free - simples.
  22. Unless the Saudis offer silly money i don’t understand why some seem to think he should be sold. He’s a fantastic rotation option and allows the youth to progress another season to see if they are good enough and then reassess summer 2025.
  23. If you’re talking never gunna happen locations for a fantasy stadium location then surely this area right next door to the new HS2 station which is a massive waste of prime inner city space is the logical hypothetical location. It’s ripe for redevelopment as a lot of the current buildings could be repurposed etc. It’s near two major train stations and could be a new district hub for entertainment, bars & restaurants etc. But as I said it’s a fantasy as we aren’t moving
