Im a big fan, but he would be the first midfielder on my teamsheet every week. Hes the only one that can **** create anything, little dink ball to Gabby for our goal, we created nothing when he couldn't get in the game second half. Nobody else even thinks to play some of the balls he attempts.

I like Delph but he needs to be able to be more free. I spoke to a Leeds fan and he was a box to box midfielder for them, chipping in with a lot of goals too. Dont see why we can have a formation with Petrov holding, Delph infront of him with either Bannan/Ireland/Jenas besides him. Our full backs hardly get forward so I really hate having two holding players, its the reason we create very little.

Difference is what is going to get the fans paying money to come to Villa Park. Hou - Signed Bent and attempted to get us to become a passing team which was entertaining at times. I doubt we could currently sign a 'Bent' type player if one was available. He had a lot of contacts and could probably sign a lot of players just based on that. Maybe if players like Dunne and Collins weren't such **** bellends the defence would have been sorted. Once he had shipped them out we would have seen how good we could have been. McL - Ex nose which isn't a great start for getting fans to spend money on the club. I admit he has had his hands tied with funds but its still not good enough. Two 0-0s in three games, I dont care what you say, the players he is picking is defensive, Hou wouldn't have had Heskey playing central defensive midfielder! Who is going to want to keep watching this? He doesn't have the pull power to attract big names. Nzogbia could have played under McL at Brum, didn't want to but he came here because the lure is Aston Villa. Hou was more concered about winning games, McL is more concerned about not losing them.

Lets just loan out a player who wants the ball and can play a killer pass. Bent is getting pissed off, we need to play players who will supply him with chances. Ireland/Bannan/Makoun/Nzogbia can. Petrov, Heskey, Gabby **** cant, they take 5 seconds to decide what to do with the ball half the time.

To be honest, I thought he had more of a turn of pace/another gear when he attacks but he goes backwards a lot and doesn't seem to want to do the full back. I think he would do a lot lot better if we have Bannan/Ireland/Makoun playing because they will get the ball to him quicker as they are just so comfortable on the ball and can pass a lot better than most in our team.

He should be starting with Delph in CM. His one touch play is top quality, you only have to watch him a few times to see how good he is. Unlike Petrov, as soon as the ball comes to Makoun he knows where hes going with it and what he wants to do.

It is ALWAYS bad when games get called off 3 days before. Fans will lose tons of money over this and its stupidly annoying.
