  1. Nice one guys, it was only an idea. As said above the danger is the lower taxes or get rid of person type XYZ etc but I would build in safe guards to stop this happening. The things voted on would be around the same ball park as what is voted on now but the difference is that the vote would be on the subject and not the party. This is the main problem currently, they vote for what they are told is the right vote and never for the benefit of the country as a whole. As someone said the last 40 years have been a joke, no one of any allegiance can be proud of what has been achieved given the resources and population available. The advantage is that it gets people engaged and takes the power away from the people who should never be anywhere near it. I don't know how much it costs to keep the House of commons ticking along but considering that they are all in it for themselves only I would say anything else would be a bargain.
  2. Why is it tat people on buses put their bag on the seat next to the window and sit on the other seat ? They do this so people don't sit by them, even when an old person gets on the bus. I target these people every day and take great enjoyment in in telling them to "move that" but it's such a strange thing to do IMO. Is it they are so special they need 2 seats ?
  3. It would be if I was on it. (I will need some plastic sheets, stapler or similar and Duct tape. I can sort the rest, maybe some black bags with some nice things to tie them up. I don't like the mess. ) + add some 14 Z list people and we are ready. Voting would be funny as would the die room.,.,. I mean diary room. I would do it for free then
  4. Good, it's not just me, then. The car thing is a strange one, I have loved cars all my life. Spent years driving various types as a job. Not sure why but in the last 2 months I just gave up on driving to work, my car is in AUtotrader and I just want rid. I just can't be arsed to sit in traffic and once I worked out that my average speed to work is 17.7 KMph I just gave up. However, The actual car objects I still love. I would happily have a car just to look at (Think Ferris Buellers day off) in my house if I could, maybe it's like art for me.
  5. A much better performance and encouraging to see. Few forced changes and some chosen but overall the team looked a well balanced side. We were playing as a team and we were just a bit unlucky in the end. There is nothing wrong with sitting back in games, if we pushed up and lost 1-4 would that be better ? It's just a tactical decision that was made, could have gone either way. I am not AM's biggest fan but give the guy a break ffs. We lost because of 2 individual errors, one I suggest was down to experience and lack of games and the other was pure loss of concentration, when compared to Arsenals mistakes at the back they look quite small actually. There goal proves if anything that mistakes happen, if you are a 2 M player or 15 M player they still mess up. Does the comedy style of their goal reflect directly on the management skills of Wenger ? So Gabby loses a midget in the last 10 mins, not really AM's fault. There was more to like that dislike last night, crowd, noise, Allbrighton, Zog and Petrov. All good things. Tin Hat on
  6. the perfect upgrade for next year That's fantastic (God knows how you found that). I could not do it to him though, bow-tie = quite funny / cute.... that's just abuse and the poor dog hates it when people laugh at him strangely enough. Now a full Villa kit...... I will post a pick of him in it after xmas. I am sure my dog smiles on the inside :-)
  7. Apple - Its all tat IMO but this is the same as why people watch Eastenders I suppose.
  8. I did not get him either, did not get it at all ...... but I went to see Take That at he Amsterdam Arena. He did no come on stage for about 45 mins or so. When he landed on stage I have never seen a place go mental like that in my life (Think Freddie at live aid, & I am not joking). Unbelievable. The place was super quiet really until he came on. My wife said to me it felt like electric had gone round the place, ace.
  9. Twilight, the worst films I have ever seen. Hearing people go on about them is just heartbreaking, I genuinely feel sorrow and pity for them all.
  10. I put a bow tie on my Beagle all Christmas day. (Stars and strips that I connect to his collar). I have done it for the last 5 years and have no idea why I do it but he seems to like it and looks cool on the photos. (He does get spoilt (And gets to steal food all day so its the least he can do :-)) and the little kids think it's well funny when we go for a walk)
  11. Why have parties or the House of Commons at all ? It's a drain on resources and it exists to only look after the very select few. Look at the people running it now, out of the depth just does not cover it. Just have democracy by internet voting. No different to turning up to a half falling down school on a cold Thursday night but allow everyone to vote on everything. A few restrictions would be needed on who can vote but I see no reason why not.
  12. I suppose so, people watch Merlin. That says it all really. I think I am gutted because it had so much potential, a weekly Jurassic Park would have been great but they always have to spoil things.
  13. I watched about 7 or 8 to give it a chance but sadly I have given up. It just makes no sense. There just had to be another group on the outside, just kill em ffs. It's 35 million years ago, who gives a ****. No come backs. + Selective wildlife, the whole point of going back was (I thought) to have the dinosaurs etc. It seems there are only 3 that are depressed and stay in a lot. + It's made specifically for kids, the story lines are a shocker. It's all a bit Merlin to be honest. Adult / child get trapped in a room and surprise suprise, the only way out is a scary tunnel that only the 9 year old can get down. Absolute bolox, makes me feel ill its so contrived. + Why the hell would you build in the middle of a Jungle ? Logically it's better and easier to start near the coast (Food / defence /) ? + There are only a few people there, say 100 or so. What's the deal with breeding then, re-create the small heath DNA swap shop of limited return ? + There are armed guards within the walls and around the camp, just standing around. Why ? To stop a revolt ? +
  14. Go random, every time you get a drink ask them if they want a Bovril. Just keep on asking, at some point (Keep a one pence in your pocket) they will "Say I don't like Bovril, stop asking" get penny out and drop on desk from high and walk off..............
  15. You never know about people, could have just lost his job or found out his grand kids are not visiting over xmas etc. Dodgy time of year so take that into account. Some people have reasons to be a bit unhappy.
  16. She is fantastic. Makes the programme IMO, she the glue that keeps the programme together. I have watched every minute of every episode and this last series was not the best but I feel it's to fill a gap of inspiration, they are doing 2 more series so this is a nice set up. I am reading the books also (Better than the series, suprise suprise). Well worth a read, comedy gold. Just a little disappointing in the way he kills people, better in the books. Child killers in the books get the very best treatment available and fingers and ears go first, this I feel is a fair and balanced approach. As a series overall, probabley one of the best I have seen. (I watch a LOT of tv :-))
  17. Things change remember, Coyle was flavour of the month not so long ago and managers who logically should do well, they might even have won a World Cup along the way just don't cut it. I don't really care if I like them or not, It's about the green stuff and what happens there. If we get rid then who and how are they going to do any better. We have top 6 aspirations with a mid-table squad. AM has made a lot of mistakes as we all do but who will come to a selling club ? He might be here next season but if any of the kids look half decent they will be feed up the league. No manage of any worth would even consider us as a destination now, so yes...get rid but with who ? FOr every 1 reason people may think they will come there are dozens of reasons why not.
  18. Don't shoot me but I saw a few shoots of recovery yesterday, we did a few things a little better. From the squad he had available that was about the best possible. We lost from corners and poor marking yesterday, but there was a small improvement overall IMO.
  19. Make sure you do, it's one good day remember. It's when it goes from good to bad to good etc..... (It's easy to think you are fixed) Strike now and pick up the phone and get it arranged !
  20. I have done loads of cognitive therapy for various things, works well. You just need to take a deep breath, pick up the phone and get the ball rolling. The first bit is the hardest. I have had what you describe on and off for 20 + years. Find someone you like as well, if you don't click with the first person try someone else, they won't mind. In my case as soon as it was a bird all was good in the world. Nothing like a bit of flirting to get a session going I am impressed that you put it on here to start with !
  21. Kings Speech for me. Could not fault it at all.
  22. Economy: Shall we play a game? David Cameron: Oh! Osbourne: [giggles] I think I love you ! Economy: Shall we play a game? David Cameron: Yeah. Weird isn't it? Osbourne: Yeah. David Cameron: [typing] Love to. How about Global Thermonuclear War? Economy: Wouldn't you prefer a nice game of chess? [Osbourne laughs, can we make the poor even poorer ? David Cameron: [typing] Later. Let's play Global Thermonuclear War. Economy: Wouldn't you prefer a nice game of chess? David Cameron: "that's just not cricket old boy !" David Cameron: [typing] Later. Let's play Global Thermonuclear War. Economy: Fine. Sometimes the programming is wrong !
  23. Anybody who isn't a farmer in a 4x4. What about the Army ? I used to love my section's Land Rover 110 If they pi55 you off in the UK, how about the utter cocks who have Range Rovers / Land cruisers who live by me to commute in to work. I wonder how many times they get stuck or change the highly intelligent gear ratios for the 4x4 IN A **** FLAT COUNTRY. :? I really hope they all don't die, tragedy.
  24. A proper super programme that is, I watch it every episode. It really is clever and makes you think, usually it's easy to see where things are going but this keeps it interesting. Emile, while a bit one dimesional does put in a good performance. His accent is a let down sometimes and he fumbles and loses his lines often. It's gotto be worth watching for Brody's Mrs anyway. Can't think of her name at the mo.
  25. It 's easier to list the things that are best purchased in person on the high street I suppose: jewellery for that special occasion is one and the health type stuff (Glasses / contacts / chemist et) Can't think of much else really. The shops have acted as a cartel and ripped everyone off for a generation IMO, I can't say I am shedding any tears for them now. The one thing they never wanted (competition) is now global. The only way I would go now is a Limo pick up and drop off with the whole shop closed only for me, what's the point otherwise (That's basically what the internet offers) ? No matter what the parking costs or the products, the high streets are I presume still full of idiots getting in the way, prams and such like bubbling over with pound shop tat adn the people who stop right in front of you, the list of cons for the high street is endless.. Do I need to go back to that... Its neck and next which will die first newspaper on paper or high street shops.
