If it aint broke.... don't fix it. As many of you have pointed out our back 6 as always has put in a solid performance (Guzan, Hutton, Cissokho, Okore, Clark and Sanchez). However our attacking 5 are just woeful! We simply cannot sign Cleverly for 7.5 million. If we have that cash available then spend it on a winger/attacking midfielder and maybe look at signing Cleverly on a free at the end of the season if we think he's good enough (unlikely) and he wants to stay (unlikely). Weimann and Gabby... for me they need to be benched. They are impact players... stick them on for 10-20 mins at the end and you may pip something but watching them for 90 mins is incredibly frustrating. Benteke needs service... yet ive thought he's still been pretty poor last couple games. Looking forward to getting Westwood and Delph back to be honest. Im surprised Grealish and Robinson aren't given a chance but what do I know?

Didn't realise we had been linked with Anya. As a Scot, he's been superb for our National team and would be perfect for the Villa and I would think at a reasonable price/wages too.

How unlucky can we get? Dont think it was a sending off. There goalkeeper seemed to make goalable saves. Grealish MUST start. Sanchez awesome. Shame just a point and Delph out for 3 matches. We're really thin in midfield now!

Was confused by the starting 11. I would never have started N'Zogbia or Richardson based on previous performances. Felt sorry for Bacuna and Robinson not even to be on the bench. Why was Vlaar introduced for Cissokho? Cleverly needs to return to Man U and we spend the £8 mill on someone else. I have to say I LOVE our defence. I've slated Clark for many years but last few games he's been amazing. Lambert simply cannot drop our current partnership of Okore and Clark. Don't shoot me but I secretly wouldnt mind Vlaar leaving in Jan. Sanchez improves game by game. I hope Westwood isn't out for too long. Not sure if im bothered about Cleverly staying... think the money could be spent elsewhere. N'Zogbia and Richardson I dont have much time for. Gabby has been great and Benteke (PLEASE KEEP HIM). I'd also like to see Grealish and Robinson play more.... oh and Bacuna! ON THE UP UP THE VILLA!

That was terrible to watch. Our midfield 5 were/are terrible. Cleverly doesnt warrent the money, Westwood nah... Sanchez is improving. Gabby and Weimann are just painful. I wish Lambert would just have the balls to play Grealish and Robinson... can't be any worse. Doesn't feel like 3 points.....

Anyone have any stats as to our comparisons on goals conceded? Have we conceded more or less? Ive felt defensively we've been OK this season. Just utterly useless at scoring.

Thought Okore was absolutely fantastic. I thought Clark was magnificent... he organised the defence beautifully. Hutton had a blinder and I thought Cissokho was OK considering he had no cover whatsoever from Weimann or Cleverly. Midfield was shocking. Sanchez and N'Zogbia were just horrific. Westwood did fine. Gabby did all he could with nobody around him. Would have snapped your finger off for a poing before match. We played so poor... need 2 new midfielders... creative central and a winger. Looking forward to seeing Delph and Benteke back.

Sounds like most the lads were under the weather. Give the lads a couple days off and bring them back in on Tuesday PM. Hopefully Vlaar will be fit too by Chelsea… lets at least try and give them a run for their money!
