I forgot it was Mac who managed him there for a bit. Hopefully he comes back 100% he's going to be a top player.

Cole does have the discipline to keep an eye on Gabby, though. He'll be forced to check his attacking forays to avoid leaving Gabby in space behind. Worked a few years back at VP. Gabby was played out right and kept Cole pinned back for most the game.

Quality little player, bodes well for our future style of play if we keep players like him in and around the team.

Well that was up there with the most frustrating games i have seen in a good while. We just refused to keep the ball on the floor despite the airial pingpong style been Boltons favourite. We didn't use enough subs, we used the wrong tactics again (Ireland in a 2?), we didn;t battle well enough and Mike Dean was appaling. We played well for 20 mins then stopped doing what was working so well. Why on earth was that? It can't be fitness at this point in the season. Thank good our defence is pretty good and we get a lot of blocks in. Friedel was MOTM for me, kept us in it too.

Agreed its just not going to work like this. Ash isn't exactly pulling up strings in that role either so we may aswell put him wide and put Ireland there. We badly need a proper CM who can boos games and has some footballing ability. For all my defence of him recently Petov has been poor in the last two games.

We actually did... by not showing support neither from the fans nor the players. If the club was behind him, he wouldn't have left. But remark taken, this topic isn't about him. My thoughts are they we need to work hard on keeping the ball. We did it better than normal until the 60th minute but we faded badly after that, allowing them to put us under far too much pressure. When we were playing well the cm`s wanted the balland the wingers were involved. From the 60th minute onwards we stopped moving and wanting the ball as much in the middle subsequently our wingersfaded out the game badly. We needed fresh legs in the middle or to at least change one of the wingers. I would have been tempted to either put Ireland on and put Young out wide. Or looking at our bench and the lack of a proper cm`er put Heskey and Ireland on and put Young and Gabby out wide for Downing and Albrighton. It wpuld have given us a bit more experience, pace and power out wide to hopefully gain a better foothold in the game. Would also have had Ireland in the middle where he is better than Ash and a bit more robust.

I couldnt care less how he meant the quotes, its pretty obvious he wont be happy finishing 7th-12th whilst he is here.

Jagielka is also better than Dawson, as he showed by looking a lot more comfrtable when playing for England in the last two games. Dawson has made two huge cock ups already.

On this arguement id like to see the stats that invlove King, as he is by far the best of your available cb`s, if he can be classed as that now. Woodgate is your best overall but he's never anywhere near top fitness. Dawson is just ok, but he is very brave. He's a lot like Collins. Dunne when fully fit is a class above imo.

Jason Mcateer is talking a load of shite there tbh. He knows nothing about MON. He wasn't hands on at all, he hardly ever took training. I think it could also be said last year we were more worried about not losing as opposed to trying to win all our games.
