  1. Yeah, but it isn’t school… they are grown adults… there is no stigma about hanging round with the person five years younger than you…
  2. Just heard him talking on the radio and it was a blast from the past… Bolo Zenden
  3. Such a shame. Ive always been more fond of the Serie A than La Liga… In my opinion, the teams have more character and personality…
  4. On topic… They aren’t buying players because they love the sport or are interested in developing it in their country… they just want to throw money around and show how easy it is that they can buy people and convince them to go against their principles when you throw oil money in their face… it’s literally the only logical reason the Saudis went out of their way to sign Jordan Henderson… Good player, yeah… but in the same bracket as Benzema, Ronaldo and others? Nah… Off topic: not massively bothered by baseball to be honest… NFL and NHL is more my thing
  5. I know right… i was born in Sutton Coldfield and I have never heard of it… I much prefer Buzkashi… that’s a proper sport…
  6. Off topic! What time of year is the MLB season? I’m looking at going in the September to November time (when it’s going to be f**king freezing) so I can try to catch the Steelers and the Penguins
  7. I thought he was going on a one man quest to “spread football to the world” Yet the only three counties he will have played in are all countries who have, at the very very least, a passing interest in football… Its not like he jumped at the chance to join the Tongan, Haitian or Mongolian leagues is it…
  8. Ok... Heres my take on this part... I have been a fan of American football since I was 11... I got Joe Montanas NFL on the old Sega Genesis... Being an 11 year old kid who knew nothing about American football, American geography or the teams involved in the sport and who had never been to the states, I needed to pick a team... So I picked a team beginning with the first letter of my name "P" and then I picked the colours I liked... which turns out that I picked the Steelers over the Falcons... To my luck, it turns out that the Steelers have been, historically, quite a good team... but the picking of which was completely arbitrary... I wouldnt call myself a "diehard fan" or claim that I had "Black and gold blood flowing through my veins"... Now, I have never been to the States, Ive never been to the Steelers stadium (however, I am planning on going this year to see them play and also hopefully the Penguins in the NFL). I have zero grounds to start piping up, throwing around slurs about the other teams/"franchises" and calling them small, or mediocre - criticising their fan bases or history... Claiming the Steelers are the be all and end all and thinking that my knowledge of a game ... I dont feel I have the right to do that... I wasnt born there, my support wasnt passed down from my grandparents, to my parents to me like a lot of people are who are fans of the Villa being born in the area... But it does seem to be that the supporters of the Saudi pro league from those areas (who literally picked whichever team was winning at the time so they could feel successful vicariously through the clubs) are the most vocal when it comes to their criticisms of some well supported, famous and historical clubs in our country... They seem over the moon that the Saudi leagues are taking the best (see also: famous but over the hill players looking for a last payday) from Europe... but also want to champion clubs in Europe that have all the best players and win all the trophies as well and have incredibly uneducated and disrespectful views regarding other teams... I just think its rude and hypocritical to be fair... Its not like they picked a team based on the badge or the colour... they could have ended up supporting Sheffield Wednesday or Nottingham Forest... but funnily enough, they all end up supporting whoever was winning at the time... Hence the miraculous swell of support by non-Europeans of Man City since 2008... because from my experience, none of them know who or what Shaun Goater, Nicky Weaver and Maine Road are
  9. From what I have seen on various social media outlets, the only people who seem to be taking this league seriously and wanting it to succeed are: Saudis and other Gulf state nationals, Africans and people of South Asian (India, Pakistani, Bangladeshi) origin... And their only argument seems to be along the lines of: "Its good to see European clubs have their best players taken away from them... Europeans think football is all about them..." And to be fair - aside from South Americans - it kind of is... Its OUR sport... We are the best two continents at it... And the fact that the same people saying this have Man Utd, Real Madrid, Man City, Liverpool etc etc etc plastered all over their profiles just proves it... Otherwise they would support their local teams in buttfuck nowhere Botswana... But of course... theres no street credibility in that...
  10. What? To the point he whips his cock out at women in bars… Some people could call that sexual assault… which, when considering Ched Evans, Adam Johnson, Robinho and Barry Bennell (and no smoke without fire Mendy)… is kind of the MO of people associated with Man City
  11. Exactly… I bet he did… I don’t trust a word that prick says
  12. Their club and Suffolk constabulary refused to arrest, prosecute and execute Richard Wright by firing squad after his brutal and malicious assault on Luc Nilis
  13. Man City Ipswich i dont hate any Midlands clubs… I used to hate the Blues, but I’d rather them, Wolves, West Brom, Coventry, Walsall, Burton, Stoke etc etc etc were all in the Prem with us instead of clubs from the North West with their elevated cholesterol, teenage pregnancies and illiteracy…
  14. As someone who has lived in the New Forest since the mid 90s… Legend has it among Southampton fans that the residents of Portsmouth have carnal relations with various species of fish… So, that might be the reason…
  15. Yeah, but Man City’s takeover was the catalyst and then they benefitted the most from it… Had any other club done what they did to us and leech us into near oblivion using an endless pot of gold, I would have hated them instead… but it was those parasitic vermin in Manchester
  16. Man City… No other team has benefitted from our downfall from European football to the Championship than they have… Their cheating, financial doping, stealing our captains every few years (only when they broke into the England squad though)… They are arguably the team that is at most to blame for the worst period in our clubs history over the last 30 years…
  17. You must take into account, however, that our club did invent the whole football league system that all of these cretins now celebrate and follow, and they would be foolish and have incredibly short memories to not remember that and be on their knees, kissing our clubs hairy beanbags in thanks for it... We are Aston Villa... We, by all rights, should be able to do what we want... Along with Preston, Accrington Stanley and very, very select number of other clubs that pretty much arent in Manchester or London (if i remember correctly)
  18. We’ve just turned over the top two in less than a week guys. Love this. Enjoy your weekends!!!
  19. It’s crazy that players have transfer fees but managers don’t… If a club wanted to come in and hire Emery, do they just have to pay off his contract and maybe some nominal fee? You never see “transfer fees” being mentioned when managers move between clubs
  20. Was chatting with my brother about the most improved player this season… Its a dead heat between Digne and Bailey… Both have been given pelters for poor performances and decision making… Massive improvements from both of them… The signing of Moreno seems to have put a boot up Dignes arse and made him realise he can’t take his place for granted anymore
  21. The range and accuracy of his passing under pressure is unreal… He’s got goals in him too… What a player
  22. Last nights result and performance was more than enough, but thanks
  23. It’s the least number of shots that a Pep team has had on target in his entire managerial career
