Massive retail park right next to the Reebok has plenty of free parking. No pubs in the vicinity, but in the past Villa fans have drank in The Beehive. Never been my self, but I'm sure some kind soul can point you in the right direction. Last season we went to the Nandos on the retail park for a beer, and some chicken. Nice.

Was just looking at an email from the club regarding Wembley merchandise, and a plastic Manc who I work with popped up behind me and commented, "Oh getting a Cup Final shirt are you? Mind you don't get to finals very often do you?" To which I replied, "well you don't get to the matches full stop do you?" Then followed up with, "now sit down you plastic!" 1 - 0 to the Villa boys already!!

Two points dropped. Should have won that. Milner, Gabby, Petrov, and Young all played well. Downing had his worst game in a Villa shirt.

Just an opinion regarding the turn out at the match. I couldn't give a flying one how many we took. At the end of the day, we're 10 days way from Christmas, it's the second time we've played at the SOL in 2 months, we're still on the back end of a recession, it was a Tuesday night, it was a freezing, tickets were £27, and a lot of people had just paid £50ish to go to Man Ure 3 days ago. Looking at the some Sunderland sites, they're panning us for our turn out, but I can 100% confirm the 700 odd of us that were there could not have been more passionate and vocal. So to reiterate I couldn't give a shit if we take 50 or 5000 to an away game. We still all get behind the lads and make a good time of it no matter what.

Complete opposite for me. I've got a feeling this is going to be one of those special nights. I know it's not exactly a high profile game, but I just feel this could be one of those 'were you there when' nights, that'll be talked about for years to come. Again I don't know why.

Can't say I'm much of a fan (of their later work any way), but I would agree. I saw them at a festival a few years back (Leeds possibly), and they really put the effort in, on stage. Had people running round stage in costumes, got people up from the crowd to play their instruments, and ended by setting fire to their drum kit. Most enjoyable, a great show band live.

Got me a ticket for the Pavement reunion gig at Brixton Academy in May next year. Can not bloody wait!!!

Saw 'Away Days' the other week. Much better than I thought it would be. Not just another 'cor blimey guvna, we're a bunch o' chirpy Jack the lad, Cocknee, Lav-a-duck hoolie flick'. Enjoyed the Quadrophenia-esque ending too.
