  1. Yes the worst thing you can do is stand by and do nothing. You need to report your concerns.
  2. Yes that's the trouble, he would be too bigger risk. You couldn't trust him

I'd take that scenario because I don't think we'll loose at Wigan but I hate it if we had the pressure on us to win there.
  4. 4.16 million a year Ireland gets. I agree we are being totally ripped off. The average price of a Bundesliga ticket is just over £10.00 and they will almost certainly have 2 teams In the Champions league final this season Robben gets little more money than Ireland does.
  5. Or you could just install xampp on your computer, start apache and MySQL services, run phpmyadmin and create a username and database then you can use Dreamweaver or any webdesign package with a WYSIWYG editor and create and site and you can test it on your local server. That way it costs you absolutely nothing. You can get a 30 day trial of Dreamweaver. Once you finished a site you can purchase a hosting package and upload it to the remote server. There are plenty of free web editors around.
  6. How do we know we would have done better under those managers mentioned. Anybody can be successful at Man U and Chelsea. The only name mentioned that have done better is Martinez because he has done wonders at a club the size of Wigan

It's not the point though. If you make a bad tackle, most of the time it's a pure accident. He has intentionally tried to harm someone. Not acceptable and 10 games is totally fair given his previous. I don't really agree because a wreckless challenge like we saw from mcmanaman could have ended the guys career, and that went unpunished. Wheras the Suarez so-called bite didn't even break skin because if there had of been a serious mark there the ref would have show him the red card. So obviously there was no real intent to hurt the guy but it was a stupid thing to do.
  8. Goals conceded can't be taken into account when discussing the defence? What about having to go back to 1985 to find a season in which we let in more goals? Or that our keeper is the only one in the league to have made over 200 saves and even after conceding a record breaking number of goals is in contention for our player of the year award? This is the worst defence I've ever seen us have, would you disagree? Yes quite possibly is but it was a new defence put together for the start of the season and even in pre-season there were huge warning signs against lesser opposition, so they had to learn and develop the hard way and there have been signs of improvement but unfortunately it doesn't show because we still keep making errors. But there certainly has been an improvement from crosses and set-pieces. We were truly dreadful before. If we stay up we will be better next season.
  9. Personally I would start with El Ahmadi. If we start with NZog we've go no-one to bring on to change the game except for Bent maybe, who hasn't made much of an impact this season at all.

If Wigan produce performances at home like they did against Newcastle and Norwich then I see no reason why Swansea cant beat them. Wigan are poor at home!
  11. lol, you don't need to know all that though its just going to confuse the issue. Best to stick to what you know and pick up things gradually because it can really do your head in.
  12. Those stats don't tell you everything. The own goals, offside goals. Theres too many variables to take those type of stats seriously.
  13. At least we have the advantage of the other teams around us playing before us this weekend. I think its an advantage anyway especially if Wigan loose, it may take a little of the pressure off the players.
  14. Fred West and John Christie might have been a better comparision as Jack the Ripper is probably a myth anyway, the main reason where we are where we are is because we have given away too many points from winning positions. The defence hasn't been good enough, prob the midfield too but Westwood stands out as the one that has been consistently our best midfield player. To come from Crewe and step up like he has done is pretty remarkable, not as remarkable as Platt ....
  15. Incidentally how the heck has Welbeck sneaked onto the nominations for Young Player of the year - he's scored two goals this season. Two. Same as Brett Holman, only he's played twice as many games - a striker, with two goals in 39 games - Young player of the year? Madness. Yes totally agree. I don't think he's that good either. If you cant score more than 2 goals in a season playing for Man Utd then you must be poor.
  16. never ever used .net myself. I just started out with plain old asp and iis with access database and vbscript. Then why not move to Linux and php with MySQL its cheaper and easier to learn.
  17. We have to face facts, we don't generate enough money to pay high wages. We're about 8th in terms of income aren't we?
  18. Interesting point, would he have played as well in that first half against United when they were rampant. Difficult decision for Lambert to make I think.
  19. Collins has had a pretty good season for West Ham hasn't he?
  20. I thought he was the best player in the usa team, maybe with the exception of Donovan, but didn't look the part when he came to Villa

This ^^^^^^^ 100x times over Much as I want us to stay up, the scenario that we escape relegation by the skin of our teeth this time - but are much improved next season - wots it based on ? - The idea that our players take a 2 month break, then come back significantly better players ? - Im not buying it. I can see no solid evidence that next season would be that much better than this - Our chairman has probably been to 5 games this season - hardly seems like he has the enthusiasism to loosen the purse strings to any great degree So whilst I want us to stay up - until we have a chairman who shows some degree of interest - I fear we will continue to flounder..............................in whatever division... I do as we have improved as the season has gone along. Before the West Ham home game I thought we had very little chance of staying up, now we have a slightly better than even chance but I don't feel confident at all. Sunderland is going to be the most nervous game so far this season. If we win we will be in a good position, a draw doesn't help us that much, unless Wigan loose to Spurs and a defeat I don't want to think about.
  22. A busy forum like this must use up a lot of b/w
  23. It depends what you want really. £11,000 would get you 10 days of my time. Are you Stephen Ireland? If I was it'd be more like £11k for 1 day. Sadly I see nowhere near that amount, that's just how much the company I work for bill our clients for my time. The point being web development can get very expensive depending on what you want, and as always, you generally get what you pay for. God no wonder I am skint because that is what I do and don't charge a fraction of that. Putting together a site for what Big_John wants would not take that long as its pretty simple to do.
