Yes and they'll need a win to stay in champions league contention so lets hope!
  2. what is he on 80k a week? for doing nothing its rediculous
  3. I think we drew 3-3 there the season we won the title. To be fair we hardly ever get anything. I think we should expect the worst and maybe we might be pleasantly surprised. We don't need another thrashing to dent our confidence though.
  4. I personally don't think he'll put on a Villa shirt again. Never looks interested to me. In his whole career I think he's had one good season that's all.

Yes Newcastle played like headless chickens. We have a better attack than Sunderland so theres no reason we cant beat them. We need Everton to do us a favour.
  6. When he first came into the side he played this all action high intensity, whether that has been coached out of him or injuries have taken its toll I don't know. Without that intensity he hasn't got the skill or the pace to survive. If he gets it back he will be a very good player for us.
  7. Don't forget its Weimann's first full season. Not convinced by the comparison with Kuyt. I think he will score more goals.

Yes but I think some bonus money is hardly going to matter to players who are already super rich.

Problem is all of our remaining games are against teams with a lot to play for. Wigans aren't.
  10. Even on a Monday night I'm sure we will get 38k plus.
  11. I'm one of Lambert's biggest critics as i thought he would change us into another Norwich. Full of endeavour with players giving 100% but lacking that overall quality to be nothing more than a mid table team. I could say i was right and i could even say with our current position that Lambert hasn't even achieved what he did with Norwich but what i will say is that i can see what he is trying to do and it's a little unfair to maybe accuse critics of lambert of being short sighted. Thats not what i have been criticising him for as i know he is trying to build a new young vibrant team with literally one arm tied behind his back concerning finance. Even taking that restriction into consideration the majority of his signings have been good and some even more than that. Basic planing of what system he was going to play has and still is my major gripe with him and it is the main reason where we are at the moment. What i have noted though that since the system change, the players are playing for the manager and obviously they believe in what lambert is trying to do. I just sincerely hope that with a bit of luck and our excellent forwards knocking in more goals than we concede, Lambert's initial mistake won't prove fatal and we will be allowed to see what Lambert can do next season in the Premiership. His record at Norwich was nothing short of sensation, Double promotion and then midtable in the premiere league. Given time I think he will get it right at Villa
  12. I hope Lambert took him off because of his fitness otherwise it was a very strange move. Yes I think he's got a lot lot more to offer. He was Wigan's best player and kept them up one season and he could do the same for us. If he knew when to pass the ball he would be brilliant.

We are on the same points as Stoke and they are in much worse form than us as well, and I honestly don't think you need worry about QPR. They are down!

Hmm, with 102 goals in 243 premiere league appearances, a record up there with Rooney and Van Persie, surely he has to play a bigger part. I wouldn't play him ahead of Benteke but I think he needs more time than the odd 10 minutes off the bench.
  15. What a total steamy pile of fresh dump. How many chances has the lad had? and if he is so talented why is he at blackpool? surely they would have been cueing up to get him. If you'd watched at all this season you would have notice this manager has a gift for nurturing young talent. Thank you, he went backwards once Oneill left. Just think he has a lot more talent than Bowery that's all. I don't think that we've seen enough of Bowery to make that judgement. What I have seen is that he has exactly the right attitude. Fonz has had numerous chances and not really grasped them - I'd love him to prove me wrong but sadly I see him ending up finding a home with a championship side Yes I agree its a little early to judge and I think he did ok against Stoke but made little impact in the Fulham game. I'm just not sure based on what I have seen so far he's done enough to be considered to for the starting eleven. Surely we must have better options

I agree 6 points from those 3 games would see us safe but it won't be easy will it? We need a fully fit agbonlahor for those games. I don't agree with resting players but if he's not 100% for the Man U game then we shouldn't risk him.
  18. A manager/coaches job is to get the best out if talented players like the fonz. The fact that they prefer workhorses Is an indictment on their man management skills
  19. The fonz has 10 times more ability than Bowery . Look at his goal scoring record at villa. He looked a real jewel a few years ago. No idea where it's all gone wrong.
  20. I'm afraid he doesn't look like a premiere league player to me. Might be ok in the championship but should not be starting games. Would be very disappointed if he starts against sunderland. What exactly did he do in a positive sense against Fulham. Did he create a goal scoring opportunity or have a shot on goal. Compare that with what agbonlahor brings to the table. The gap is massive.

You cant leave out Benteke, he's essential to us staying up. Stick with the players that has seen us improve as the season has gone on.

I think they might be ok now with the Stoke and Southampton home games to come. Our run in is as tough as anybodys.

No supporter could enjoy us being relegated in order to say "I told you so". If Bannan isn't played again in the run in, we will be relegated. If that occurs I can say "I told you so" but I wouldn't enjoy it. I want Bannan played in the run-in so we won't be relegated. If Bannan doesn't play another game and we go down nobody is going to say you are right but its hard to understand having performed well in the wins against Reading and QPR he doesn't even figure in the squads for the last two games.

Yes everytime we have a chance to put some distance between us and the rest we blow it. There may have been some degree of misfortune in the own goal but it was still a bad mistake by Delph.
