  1. What a total steamy pile of fresh dump. How many chances has the lad had? and if he is so talented why is he at blackpool? surely they would have been cueing up to get him. If you'd watched at all this season you would have notice this manager has a gift for nurturing young talent. Thank you, he went backwards once Oneill left. Just think he has a lot more talent than Bowery that's all.

I agree 6 points from those 3 games would see us safe but it won't be easy will it? We need a fully fit agbonlahor for those games. I don't agree with resting players but if he's not 100% for the Man U game then we shouldn't risk him.
  3. A manager/coaches job is to get the best out if talented players like the fonz. The fact that they prefer workhorses Is an indictment on their man management skills
  4. The fonz has 10 times more ability than Bowery . Look at his goal scoring record at villa. He looked a real jewel a few years ago. No idea where it's all gone wrong.
  5. I'm afraid he doesn't look like a premiere league player to me. Might be ok in the championship but should not be starting games. Would be very disappointed if he starts against sunderland. What exactly did he do in a positive sense against Fulham. Did he create a goal scoring opportunity or have a shot on goal. Compare that with what agbonlahor brings to the table. The gap is massive.

You cant leave out Benteke, he's essential to us staying up. Stick with the players that has seen us improve as the season has gone on.

I think they might be ok now with the Stoke and Southampton home games to come. Our run in is as tough as anybodys.

No supporter could enjoy us being relegated in order to say "I told you so". If Bannan isn't played again in the run in, we will be relegated. If that occurs I can say "I told you so" but I wouldn't enjoy it. I want Bannan played in the run-in so we won't be relegated. If Bannan doesn't play another game and we go down nobody is going to say you are right but its hard to understand having performed well in the wins against Reading and QPR he doesn't even figure in the squads for the last two games.

Yes everytime we have a chance to put some distance between us and the rest we blow it. There may have been some degree of misfortune in the own goal but it was still a bad mistake by Delph.

Yes you can never predict what the outcome of games will be. I just think the games against Sunderland, Norwich and Wigan will be very nerve-wracking. Not looking forward to them. Everytime we think we are going to get out of danger we let ourselves get right back into it again. Wigan are the team I think may go. Some tough fixtures and the FA Cup is bound to be a distraction.
  11. I think he was scared of losing that's why he took off our most productive player but we should have been looking to win that game not draw it.

History suggests we will loose there, we always do apart from the one season under Uneill. Before then we have to go back to Ron Atkinson days.
  13. Isn't he on 45k a week? Ireland 80K a week?
  14. Yes too far forward and didn't really get much leverage of the ground.
  15. I think silly errors are sending us down. Every week we seem to be making them.

Yes if it had ended up 1-0 to Sunderland there could be a case for blaming the linesman but not when its 3-0 Nonsense... if it had gone 1--1 the game would have changed.. Sunderland could easily have panicked especially after going 1-0 up at Chelsea last week & losing plus it would've lifted Newcastle & they may well have started to play a bit better.. Sunderland could just as easily have gone on & lost the game had that goal been allowed... It's all ifs buts & maybe's but to say it "wouldn't have mattered as they won 3-0" is nonsense as it was only 1-0 at the time of the decision... A game changer That's true but I think Sunderland should have had at least 2 penalties.
  17. Substitutions yesterday were stupid. Nzog scores and looks our most threatening player and he takes him off! Also don't think he should have taken Weimann off. It seemed to me he lost the plot yesterday and was settling for 1 point when we had a great opportunity to get all 3.
  18. and the Fonz has bags more talent than Bowery.

I was hoping we would be 5 points ahead of Sunderland after this weekend and now we are level. The Sunderland fixture takes on even bigger proportions and looks a lot harder.
  21. Suddenly the Sunderland fixture looks a lot harder.

Yes but they have their chances too. Just hope they can get at least a point. A sunderland win would be a disaster for us.
  23. Except when he isn't, like against Fulham. Ineffective. Without Bannan on the bench, no fear of competition either. Yes I agree its very strange that he wasn't even on the bench. I can understand the reasoning against Stoke. I also think if Bannan had of scored that own goal and that woeful shot that Delph did yesterday he would have been made this scapegoat on this forum. Delph had a very good game up to that point, making driving runs, keeping the back protected. If he does a Bannan and offers nothing and yet makes that mistake, then I will mention it. The blame lies more with the person in charge of setting up set pieces and putting Delph there.. Yes I agree Delph played well and has improved a lot this season. If he can bring some composure to his game then we have a top midfield player, unfortunately we keep making mistakes that is costing us big time. I don't agree Bannan offers nothing. I think he's a good little player with a lot of skill and a good range of passing, but I think he has felt the pressure himself.
  24. Very true we do seem to play better away from home.
