Good post! Forget Blues Villa are representatives of the 2nd City but we don't really match up. The fan base is there but we rarely sell out. even when we won the league in 81 we only averaged 33,000. West Ham have never been as big as us and they have the Olympic but they are only renting it and I wonder if the will fill it. You could be right Lerner thought he could make us into a an Arsenal or Liverpool but Man City takeover destroyed everything.

Yes 5-2 Ipswich as well with an Andy Gray hatrick. That was the most exiting Villa team ever. Shame the Blues did the double over us I think. I know they won 2-1 at Villa. I think they won 2-1 at St. Andrews as well. We had a player sent off and Andy Gray was playing in defence I think.

Yes that's the way I see it to. The trouble is Newcastle and Norwich are only 1 win away from safety. If we beat Sunderland they can be added to that list too.

They are the stoke or Sunderland of a few weeks back - they got the wins to turn it around - and I feel Newcastle will. Like Sunderland and Stoke they have good players playing badly. That isn't the problem at villa - we don't have enough good players. Despite today I feel Newcastle will pull a rabbit from the hat when they need it - probably next week. Yes maybe but you don't get over a 6-0 home defeat very easily. Especially when your away form is shocking and you have two away games. On top of that Newcastle are terrible when they go to London down the years. and I think QPR being down by the time Newcastle play them will take the pressure off them. They will want to finish the season well.

They won 2-1 at both West Brom and Arsenal last season.

Beat Swansea and West Brom. Actually I think they won at Arsenal last season, so you cant rule anything out. I'm just looking at the worst case scenario. We have to look at our own results.

I can see Wigan winning at West Brom, they have a good record there. So that will put them on 38 before playing us.
