  1. наслаждаться жизнью, пока вы можете, comrade!
  2. As I've said many times on here (probably in this thread)...brilliant film!
  3. A nice single malt whiskey and a 3 bird roast in the oven for me to tear to shreds once I'm nicely lubricated. Sod if I'm going out for I have a touch of *something* (wouldn't call it the man flu yet) and the last thing I want is to be stood in a queue for the bar next to a bunch of fuckwits who are pissed as a fart whilst sweating my arse off and having to pay through my nose for it. No ta. I may even put on Porkys the movie at some point too to avoid the misery that is Alan Carr or the BBC constant that is Fearne Cotton. Have a good New Year
  4. I loved Life of Pi - it is a good family movie for this time of year. I've been told it would have made the film 100x better had I read the book but I disagree: I find movies translated to books (well if you read the books first of course) kind of spoil the surprise.
  5. I don't think he'll walk and I don't think that he'll be pushed. We need some experienced players in during the window and I think (well it's more like hope) that we'll do just that.
  6. Emulators are ridiculously difficult to pull off though. Even now, N64 emulators (we're going back how long?) on a beast of a PC cannot emulate flawlessly. PS2 is workable but with lots of problems and I would suggest that PS3 emulation is a long way off.
  7. Can I be the first to say almost certainly not? Parts of Mexico and South America are now celebrating the new phase to their lives (with fireworks and festivities galore!).
  8. I don't think it was pre-planned, I just think she had a few drinks and decided to sing on her way home But, yes ... I would love it if Kim Wilde was Christmas number one!
  9. Both Newcastle and Sunderland losing / lost too. Hopefully we can now start to look up instead of down...
  10. Oh and I have to say...she's looking good for a 52 year old!
  11. Good girl, Kim. I actually quite enjoyed that. Miserable bastards near to her but at least she got a bit of response from down the other end.

    Relegation

I agree that not much has changed but the longer we go on losing points (and dropping places to relegation "favourites" such as Southampton) the longer it will go on. As I've said, we are now 2 points above the bottom 3 and that is very worrying.

Sad state of affairs when we're now below a team that looked doomed not that far back. As much as I hate Gobbie Savage, I'm starting to worry that he may well be correct. Is this Aston Villa? Given the circumstances, I'm not surprised.

    Relegation

Not really, we dropped a place today (Southampton won) and we are only 2 points above the bottom 3.
  15. Get a shed load of fireworks, have a bonfire, cook a really nice meal for her and make sure she's drunk before lighting the fireworks and she'll love it. (that was my plan for bonfire night...doh!). Depends on where you live really and what she is used to. (russian wife, ay?)
  16. This. Take the punishment and move on.
  17. Prolly been said (I haven't yet read the thread) but "Don't tell em, Pike!". RIP.
  18. Happy Friday, everyone. What are your plans? I've got a monster curry on the go (I've only just started it so methinks it may take a while) and I've got a bottle of vodka (not just any vodka but an "Absolut London" bottle that's been staring me in the face ever since somebody gave me a bottle as a gift. Today seems right ). Other than that, I've decided to go through the whole Only Fools and Horses box set. Rock and Roll.
  19. Soak it in the sun and make a groovy lemon pie The Candy Man, the Candy Man can The Candy Man can 'cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good Happy Friday everybody! (I take the lead from the Radio 2 breakfast show). So what are your plans? I dashed back to Portsmouth today from London (leaving work early) as I had a bit of a panic that somehow I've missed a payment on a credit card (which is also in a payment plan so need to keep up the payments or account goes into default. Defaults are kind of "iffy" in my line of work). It turns out, after finding my details here and phoning them up, that my account is actually up to date and that they cocked up by not taking it - and that they don't plan on taking it as I'm in a payment plan so proceed as normal. How bizarre, but BONUS! I also had a bumper wage from work as they've finally paid up the extra hours I was owed so I'm feeling rather flush Massively in debt but rather flush - I'll pretend that I don't owe the debt until tomorrow and then I'll put my serious face on and see which account I should pay more on this month. I've also got to make plans for a wedding, look at getting booked into a hotel etc: My friends who both suffer from cancer have bought their wedding forward to February (sadly my mate is now terminally ill). Other than that, I do believe I may get drunk. Yes, siree!
  20. Having blocked ears. I wake up with ringing in my ears but can't actually hear a lot (and this has been happening for the past week). Damn you wax, damn yoooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!! Time to buy me some earex.
  21. ....and back to foxy looking Davina
  22. Evening folks, Anybody watching this on Channel 4? I've found myself sat here with tears streaming down my face, not that it is because of the programme itself, but because I know too well about the effects of it and what it could mean to those that are suffering from it and their families. I've personally signed upto £2 a month to Cancer Research UK as it is what I can afford but if you can't afford that then why not pledge a fiver just this once? I don't want to turn this into a "please pledge" thread so if you have any thoughts on the programme then please post them here

It is to yourself and others who are fighting this battle that have my utmost respect. I've mentioned a few times that my mate is too fighting but he his keeping his chin up and I hope that whatever life may through at you during this time that you take heart in knowing that you have good friends and family who care about you very much. All the very best in your battle ahead.
