  1. Tell me about it mate, it's funny how the same crowd who were going mad are now cheering every successful pass made. Yes we are still shit imo, 1 goal does not change anything. We are playing against Andorra ffs
  2. Also...I know we moaned about Sven at most times but looking at his record he never ever gave us a joke performance (friendlies aside). Who would you rather have....this clown or Sven?
  3. A quick question or 2...would you rather have Sir Alex of Manure in charge or this clown now? (never going to happen but interesting to see the reaction if it was to happen) Assuming MON wasn't Villa manager would you wish for him to be England manager? Seeing as he isn't English?
  4. Gerrard shot on goal again
  5. Not sure the debate over McDonut ends here because of that 1 (yes it's only 1 goal folks), fact is we aren't performing at all and the crowd want him out and so will the media tomorrow most probably. He's on borrowed time and tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't already sounded out someone else to take over in a temp role.
  6. I'm sure I just heard David Platt say "at least we have the 3 points". WTF....did I hear correctly? It's only 54mins gone FFS, anything can happen!
  7. goal Gerrard...fitting that the only guy who shows any passion scores.
  8. Not quite the same mate as he natively speaks Portugese. But I do agree with the points you've made there tho.
  9. I wonder how a Mr Beckham would be feeling this evening... ...smoking a big fat cigar and drinking champagne no doubt
  10. But Ian, he was NEVER going to pick Beckham anyway. It was the wrong decision to drop the man in the first place.
  11. "One David Beckham" and "Steve McLaren you're a w@nker" the crowd chant Bye bye McDonut
  12. Nah mate, it's more like a school 5-a-side.... so many schoolboy errors it's embarassing supporting this shower of shite at the moment. I've been reading up on the McDonut run (mainly in The Sun newspaper but what the hell...) and he's had the worse run of games EVER in England managers history. All I would say to him is don't let the door hit ur ass on the way out. Crowd really gunning for his head now, David Platt stating the obvious too.
  13. You've gotta love the comments before the game on Sky by Ray Wilkins, he actually thought it would be a "goal fest" and can see it being 5-0 lol What another shit game, I can see it finishing 0-0 again The only player looking like he's playing with a shred of passion is Gerrard at the moment. Rooney has been nowhere again and oh man aren't we missing a one David Beckham an awful lot.
  14. and the crowd chant "Steve Mclaren, you're a "word removed" ;)" If we don't score soon his days are numbered...we've looked shocking again so far tonight
  15. Yep, except when the camera behind their goalkeeper when he takes a free kick makes the ground look empty lol
  16. Richards, Cashley Cole and Downing in. Only 14,000 people in the crowd too
  17. Jamie Redknapp annoyingly talking sense again
  18. Come on Andorra (pains me to say that) but if it's what is needed to get rid of McDonut then so be it. Barwick at the FA is the biggest incompetent fool I've seen for a long time (it was this muppet who took the premiership rights to ITV, ensuring we lost out on Match of the Day and then decided to show it at 7.30pm). How the hell he became the boss of English footie is beyond me. Even bloody Adam Crozier was better and he's Scottish!
  19. I'm more than happy with our VIP package... 10megs broadband - soon to be increased to 20 megs by May which contrary to advertising by Sky has always hit it's full potential, peaking at roughly 1MB/s (EDIT...just in case, that's megabytes not megabits ). All the decent stuff that Sky has (albeit it without Sky One, Sky News or SSN) + the huge free On-Demand database that is 2nd to none in the UK V+ (that's the equivalent to Sky+ (but has 3 tuners) and is also an HD box which upscales even normal SD telly) + normal box (so Sky's equivalent to multi-room) Unlimited local and national free calls (as it's all included in the price) and other bits and bobs like cheap mobile and international calling etc. All in for £85/month. Now comparing what I was paying out for same deal (as I've only just dumped Sky), I'm saving roughly £30 a month that's without Sky HD for what I believe to be a stonking service (the on-demand thing is insane).
  20. Could potentially be very good but tbh I can't see it being half as good as SSN
  21. The new V+ box on Virgin is absolutely fantastic. Natively has 3 tuner inputs (through the 1 cable ) meaning you can record 2 programs at once whilst watching something completely different. Also, the channel change on the V+ box is on-par with Sky for change speed now. One thing Virgin has that Sky can't compete with is the huge On-Demand database. which will soon have all the good stuff from Disney and HBO (they've done a big exclusive deal). Click the button and the program starts. Virgin also automatically record all the popular programs from the past week allowing you to watch virtually anything you've missed that stream straight to your box via the on-demand service. I do know Sky are starting their Sky Anytime service soon but it's hardly comparable...seeing as it isn't a true on-demand platform (how can it be On-Demand when all Sky are doing is sending programs to the un-used partition on your Sky+ box every night?). One more thing... HD content on Virgin is absolutely free with the V+ box - you might say but there's no HD channels (barring BBC HD - which does look fantastic)! However, there is a good little on-demand library of HD content building up on Virgin now and the box does automatically upscale normal SD content. We only recently changed to Virgin from Sky due to their VIP offer (we already have Virgin Broadband and phone anyway) so in the long run it does save us a helluva lot of money. Must say, I do miss Sky Sports News though
  22. Pretty much 100% faith. What people seem to forget is that we're a team and club in transition, there's no doubt in my mind that Randy, The General, Martin and the rest of the team are pulling together and it's next season which we should be looking for big strides. There are exciting times ahead, it just needs people to sit back and enjoy the ride and as in the rollercoaster take the ups and downs but taking in the whole thrill of it all! General, you and the rest of the team are doing a sterling job and I commend you all on your work and effort you're showing towards the Villa faithful. We KNOW the team outside of the pitch are making great strides and the playing staff will take time but we all (well 75% of us ) have complete faith in Martin and what he's doing for the club.
  23. I would just like to repeat the sentiments on here and wish a wholehearty thanks to your good self, Randy and rest of the team. I've been a "lurker" on this site for many years and it is only now I feel I have the confidence to discuss and interact about my beloved club holding my head up high - for that you have my sincere thanks.
