Re-writable DVDs Bicks, you record on them just like a video, but obviously navigating through them iss a bit easier as you can jump to the start of things you've recorded, delete whole programs, don't have to find a space etc etc.

And by have one I mean connected to your tv so you can actually use it, not just shoved in the loft. I reckon if I'd asked this 10 years ago, maybe even 5, then I reckon 90% would say yes, now I reckon it will be a lot lower. I don't, here I have a DVD recorder and a hard disk thing that can record freeview. Up in Leeds I've got Sky+

Don't think anyone has mentioned a positive for smokers, the social side of things. When I was travelling it was a great way to meet new people, in the smoking area outside. Most smokers I know loved that side of things. Not so pleasant in the cold in this country, but it was certainly an up-side there.

For me its not about the health side of things, I just don't want to end every night stinking of smoke, its disgusting. People say that it means places smell of sweat instead without a smoking ban. I'm not so sure on that. I live in NZ for 9 months and there was a smoking ban in place, made nights out so much more pleasurable and in my experience places didn't smell anywhere near as bad as when it was full of smoke. Some placces still smelt of smoke even though the ban had been in for a few months. The worst part of it is walking through a corridor of smoke at the entrance as everyone stands right by the door. Still far more pleasant than the current situation.

Or you can use the tune from the (under-used) Berger Chant. Do do do do, Reo-Coker, do do do do, Reo Coker Can't think what the tune if from other than some 90s dance song. Surely someone will know. Never heard it at VP actually but remember hearing it at Man City away season before this one.
