  1. Well in fairness wasn't it Vince Cable who finally privatised it?
  2. Saddam Hussein set up a company called Montana Management to launder money, which was named after Tony Montana from the Scarface film.
  3. Supermarkets when they move all of the aisles around just when you have got used to the latest configuration. And yes I know I can order online but I don't trust them on picking edible fruit and veg.
  4. That is what Incognito mode for is mate.
  5. To be ready for the euros any work needs to be completed 1 year before it starts which would be June 2027. The original plan was for it to take 2 years the latest this can start is summer 2025. Or we are talking into the next decade, which will make nearly it a 30 year wait from the original plans. If we are being optimistic the club could just be doing this the other way round of doing the small increase in capacity in the current stands before the big job. As the 2028 bid document bandied around a 52k capacity when the north stand job was only going to finish at 50k. Or that was just a number plucked from the air. But there has been no further details in the capacity uplift other than vague statements. If both are to be done before 2028 then really we need work to start this summer on the couple of thousand increase. But there has been no application or any details on this. As they haven't been clear in the communication to us we are just guessing at the moment. But on balance I am not hopeful at all.
  6. Definitelty going to be a step up from Ajax who have just lost 6-0 to Feyenoord the other day. Lille seem to be on the up and we are looking a bit torn and frayed.
  7. Still a bit stunned by our collapse at the weekend. Like a nasty return to the bad old days. Didn't seem much communication in the back four the entire match really. Got to sort this out asap.
  8. This is going to be a proper test for us. Ajax was a glamour tie but they were a poor side really going through a bit of a transition period. Lille are 3rd in the French League and have the the advantage of the home tie in the second leg. We need to defend better than the weekend that is for sure. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lenglet in for Carlos. It is only our 2nd European quarter final tie in the last 40 years so lets try to savour and enjoy it.
  9. Wouldn't be surprised if Poch got sacked by the end of the season. The semi final is massive for them now.
  10. Forest are fairly shit but luckily for them, it will probably be a very low points total to stay up, not much above 30 I reckon. This result was nailed on even if they made it interesting for about half an hour.
  11. If liverpool really want to win the league, this is the chance. Nope. 2 points dropped.
  12. I reading something on Keegan the other day. At Newcastle once he realised he had lost a yard of pace, he retired. Wasn't really the option of cashing in to middle east retirement home in those days.
  13. I mean nowadays it really is never a game of two halves. It is a game of 45 mins plus 2 and 45 mins plus 6 to 9, halves.
  14. Yeah that's what I thought as well.
  15. Do Liverpool miss a boring type Henderson player for this type of game?
  16. Still waiting for a Manyoo 98th min winner. By Mason Bloody Mount.
  17. Liverpool's game management has been about as good as ours yesterday. Fecking abysmal, the game should be over by now.
  18. .....and there you go. Thanks a lot Liverpool.
  19. United will win this with 2 shots on target. Just like the cup game.
  20. That was a great goal in the front of the Holte End, bright spring sunshine and two nil up. And then we ballsed it up a bit. Sigh. Reminds when McGinn scored I think his first goal at Villa v Wednesday with a screamer, only for us to lose the game.
  21. Plus points We have now achieved 60 points two seasons in a row in the premier league, which we haven't done for years. That is a very good achievement and we have 6 big games to go. Rogers getting the first of hopefully many goals for the Villa. Coming back from behind to get a point Yes we have dropped points but we have the points on the board, Spurs still have to play their extra games. No more injuries Negative points A utter brainfart for 10 minutes. The game was over we had a collective meltdown. Defence all over the place. I thought we had consigned this to the history books but nope we haven't. Emery maybe could have been more proactive with the subs. Yes we got a point back but really we have left 2 points on the table, with a very tough fixture versus Arsenal next week. Award winning stupidity for Luiz to get the booking at the end to miss two league games, in an area that we are really light at the moment. Not feeling confident for Lille now, but no time to ponder on we go. UTV.
  22. Bit of a lost season for him. I would say he is probably the only player in our squad who looked better under Gerrard than Emery so far. Must be disappointing for the lad.
