Pity he doesn't do as much going forward.....how ofte ndoes he actually use that legendary pace to beat a player. He seems reluctant to take on his man and beat him. An enigma for me.

I think you will find it does - he signed a contract for 4 years and if he does nothing to break it is entitled to payment in full. Normally some sort of deal is reached. Remember when we were going to sign Dunne there was a delay - for such a situation.

This squad is well capable to finishing mid-table and have shown at times their ability. Please remember that Guzan, Lowton, Vlarr, Stephens and Bennett together with Benteke and Westwood have had exactly how many Premiership starts between them? Add in Clark, Delph and KEA and that is hardly a lot of experience is it? They need to play to learn unfortunately as we are not able to buy the finished product. PL is doing a good job imho with what he is able to spend,

This season was always going to belikethis. Young players and a comparitively young manager. They will all take time to adjust especially our longer serving players to new methods as there has been no stability for a couple of seasons. I hope that once it all settles we will all be more positive - just a pain that we all fall into the doom and gloom then euphoria instead of taking a deep breath of reality. We have a plan that seems to me that will work so fingers etc all crossed

Tonight showed the differences having a wide man take on and beat his fullback and pulling his cross back onto the forwards. We scored or came close each time we did it. Now I believe Lambert is not stupid so why don't we play more to DB strengths? The tippy tappy stuff at times was pointless and we still gave the ball away too often
