This is really really good work. Terry rumours won't go away and he could easily go a month into the season. We're now fully stocked now. Good shout from Mat Kendrick who suggested this about a day after the season finished.

What an awful thing to do That's actually good to hear. There's now a logical reason he's ended up at a second division Belgian side. Agree with your general point as well. With this chap and spreadsheet lover Lange we can move our scouting in the 21st century, even if neither is here for the long-term.

Luckily Evans is full of bilge. Invents things as he goes along. No chance that deal was on the table. What's Brentford's logic for saying yeah have him for £10m when they had no strikers at all? With only him as an option? Brentford who famously make everyone pay through the bumhole as well. BS IMO.

Jones no. Lingard I don't think is too bad. He finds space really well. If you've got hold of the ball, he pops up in plenty of dangerous areas consistently. But I wouldn't want to pay any more than £5m for him and wouldn't want him earning more than any of our top players. He's a £20-30k a week player earning about £150k at Utd, it's insane. -
Obviously it'll be an effing treat if we do, but I'd be very surprised if we sign a striker and right winger both better than him. Fingers crossed.

Two misses in about five years for Percy then. Bryan that was done until he ran away and now a clause for Watkins. Honestly I don't care. £18m, £25m. I'm a fan not an accountant. I get enjoyment out of watching Aston Villa play football and win games not our net spend figures. Watkins is a reliable, versatile player I think would hit the ground running from the first game back. No problem giving him a miss if Rashica and Chukwueze are on their way. If they aren't, get it done please.

Best thing about Watkins is how much work he gets through in games when he isn't scoring. Does loads of pressing, running channels, holds it up when it comes.

He's just a must buy for £18m. An all-round, intelligent forward who can play RW or CF, the two positions we currently have zero players good enough. Would be an outstanding buy. I'd rather Watkins than Benrahma right now. We have Jack for left wing day one of the new season.
