    Was thinking the same about JT and the Chelsea connection. If he is known for his electric pace, perhaps JT suggested him or at least gave his feelings about him to the transfer committee? After 5 or 10 games we’ll know if he’s an asset or not. It’s all about improving the team/squad and last season most on here were saying Trez looked like a competition winner, so the bar has been set pretty low. On that basis I’m willing to give him a chance.

    My uncle had a stroke earlier this year, was recovering in hospital but unfortunately caught COVID and we lost him. Top man as well to me and will miss him dearly.

    Very true mate, just thinking of who would be in budget and Bournemouth seem to be selling everyone and anyone. Personally, i’d prefer Hughes.

    If we sign Rashica and Martinez, then just another midfield option, I think we’ve achieved a bloody decent window. Looking at midfield options with Premier and/or Championship experience (seems to be Smith’s preference), I guess we’d be looking at Hughes, Swift, Billing type. With Chelsea being stacked heavy though, we could test the waters and enquire about Loftus-Cheek? Had his injuries, but very good when fit.

    Just don’t see us signing Josh King but could be wrong. Still think we’ll try and sign John Swift before the window closes. Osayi-Samuel still at QPR for now, but will probably go to Palace. Josh Maja still at Bordeaux and probably gettable. We could also offer them Kalinic or Samatta perhaps?

    You wouldn’t terminate someone’s contract because of personal/family tragedy. It’s no doubt some kind of gross misconduct. I’m sure it’ll come out sooner rather than later.
