  1. No. I'm all for giving a guy a chance but 8 wins in 28 is simply not good enough. For those saying 'but who would we get?' - I don't think we could do much worse right now, really. Saying that, I do think at least one other face would have to leave at the same time, which probably isn't going to happen, unfortunately.
  2. Do you have insurance, Maq? I'm getting a number of fillings done right now and altogether it's costing me closer to a grand (about $100 per tooth). However, they also listed the non-insurance prices on my receipt are they are pretty damn steep. Maybe you should check your coverage. As they say - in the US, you can get the best healthcare money can buy.
  3. Sunday, Monday - Habib Beye Tuesday, Wednesday - Habib Beye Thursday, Fri... oh he's left.
  4. 58 goals from pens is an awful lot; behind Shearer Fat Frank is next with 35, and only 3 people are in the 20s. Still, doesn't take away from the fact that Shearer was a class player.
  5. Don't think I've ever seen this before - The Kings were able to score a last-second, game-winning goal against the Blue Jackets tonight because http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_HK37lwMy4. The game would have been going into OT if that hadn't happened. Crazy situation.
  6. There's a video of the bloke here. Classic. 'YOU'RE ERRTIN MAI ANDS!'
  7. Bullsh*t 'serving sizes' on food packets. It seems half the time they're only there to try and make the food look healthier, when in reality their 'serving' would probably not even satiate a 5 year old. Probably the worst example I saw of this recently was on a pack of muffins I was checking out. Didn't look too bad until I saw the serving size... HALF a muffin. Who the hell eats half a muffin? If I went to a coffee shop and asked them to serve me a muffin, I wouldn't expect them to lop it in half and give me one of them.
  8. Probably the best remasters I've heard are of Experience and Music for the Jilted Generation. They do what remasters should do - breathe new life into the original product and make any obvious corrections. It's true that the majority of remasters are gash, unfortunately.
  9. (the 3rd was given towards the end of the game)
  10. Hockey football shirts. Some interesting ones on there, not a massive fan of the Pens ones, though. Caps vs Pens was selected for NBC's game tomorrow - nice free HD stream to watch, although 12:30 games are a bit weird - means I'll be watching at 9:30AM!
  11. Netflix is decent, had it for coming up to a couple of years since being out here. The only thing you really need to watch out for is content expiring - certain movies and shows are only available for a certain amount of time, so don't be surprised if something suddenly becomes unavailable. This site lets you know what's expring and when for US Netflix - keep an eye on it and see if they extend it for Europe.
  12. Yep, scored over 100 goals in roughly 1000 apps. That's about the same ratio as Heskey since joining us.
  13. Winter Classic starts in about 10 minutes. Should be watchable on here (although I'm in the UK right now and it seems to be stuck on 'starting')
  14. Anyone still play this? Still harbour fond (or not-so-fond) memories? I was having a kick around the Internet today and remembered that Eidos released it for free a while back. Since then, it seems that the game has established a substantial modding community. As it happens, 01/02 was my favourite version of the game back in the day; for me, the game seemed to become more work than fun after that. So - being that I'm starting to climb the walls on my Christmas visit to my parents - I decided to grab it again and see what all the fuss was about with some of the fan-made creations. In the end, I obtained a fully up-to-date player database and the Tapani patcher, which (amongst other things) allows you to start the game at a later date and run the game in a window larger than 800x600. Needless to say, I am still sitting here 4-5 hours later having got through half a season with Walsall and am absolutely loving it. The delicate marriage of simplicity and depth is still as good as ever, plus the updated database I grabbed (ODB from Sept '11) breathes a whole new life into proceedings. If you're interested in having a go, champman0102.co.uk gives you pretty much everything you need to get started. Definitely recommend it if you want some old-school 'casual' CM-action brought into the present day.
