  1. Not really a laughing matter considering the implications for us.
  2. Easier said than done of course, but It would be nice to be able to buy up all that outlined area. Possibly build a new stadium adjacent ala Spuds.
  3. I agree she (Lucy Ward) was very complimentary towards us.
  4. I think he picked up a knock v Barcodes
  5. It's probably more to do with the fact that we play this 4 days before the more important Newcastle game. We will need everyone fighting fit for that.
  6. Some guy on FB last night was adamant that Pau would be missing this. He was taking some right pelters, but he just said "wait until 1pm tomorrow and you'll find out for yourselves. Must be in the know.
  7. Still showing as Saturday 27th 3pm kick off on the Villa official site. Pish poor really.
  8. Still no official statement from the club about the start date is there?
  9. Exactly. Some people have this notion that it's all prawn sandwiches & cocktails when in reality it's just down to earth normal supporters like myself & brother who like somewhere to go for a couple of pints before & after the match while we wait for the traffic to die down.
  10. Saturday v Arse was by far the busiest I've seen the TV. Absolutely rammed before the game and even had a DJ on the go which made for a great atmosphere. Not so busy after the game but again a great atmosphere as the DJ struck up a Sweet Caroline which was brilliant.
  11. I think they'd be charged then bailed but would have to return here to appear in court.
  12. My god this makes depressing reading for a Friday morning. No way the professor of our Unai-versity is going anywhere soon.
  13. Even If he was allowed to play in the coming games, where is his head going to be with this hanging over him? IMO, I think Nico's short Villa career will come to a premature end.
  14. Could be the reason why they've done away with the dugout cover. Nice clear view of the bench & the pitch now.
  15. I was never too keen on Kate Bush's music at the time (late 70's) so I turned down the chance to see her at Brum Hippodrome of all places. It was a midweek gig & was working 6-2 the next morning so gave it a swerve. As I've grown older her music has really grown on me. I tried to get tickets for one of her last gigs at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2014 but they were like rocking horse doo doo so no chance. Needless to say my biggest regret was not seeing her when she was on my door step back in 79. Maybe she'll do another tour sometime but I can't see it myself.
  16. Yes I think so too as per this pic taken before the Everton thrashing.
  17. I personally didn't notice any animosity. Had a laugh with one guy who asked me "is there any spare prawn sandwiches in there mate" as I came out to take my seat For information: I would say it was probably about 50% capacity compared to the Everton game which is understandable as not included in the season ticket.
  18. It's not their first home game though. They played Man City first game of the season at home.
