  1. I'm certain Lambert did not give Richardson instructions to try and break someones leg, but - He picked him ahead of our current top scorer and highest in assists (Wiemann) - He picked him for a derby - He had all week with the players to get them playing the way he wanted so Lambert remains responsible. If he isn't - then exactly what does he manage? I agree with what you say. As I have said neither Richardson nor Nzogbia should have been on, and Weimann definitely should have been in there in place of one of them, and that is down to Lambert. I just mean that that one incident of Richardson's he could not have foreseen.
  2. Yes, but he was terrible, and the others were worse.
  3. Should have had Grealish or Weimann or Robinson on earlier, as Benteke, Agbonlahor and Nzogbia were all terrible. But as far as Lambert's responsibility for the loss is concerned, Lambert cannot be expected to legislate for the stupidity of a player.
  4. Westwood is safety first, Sanchez takes chances to try to make things happen - that's why Sanchez is the much better player.
  5. A really stupid tackle, which in my opinion cost us a win. West Brom are a terrible side, I think the worst I have seen this season, and I would think will go down. They could not even create anything against 10 men. Only Guzan's mistake and Benteke's profligacy saved them from a defeat in spite of having the extra man.
  6. He had a great game yesterday. Easily my MOM.
  7. I like this guy so much. Always involved , and getting better with each game. He makes it so obvious how poor the rest of our midfielders are, apart from Delph, who would be decent if he could provide an end product.
  8. Look on the bright side, if he manages to maintain the level of performance he has reached so far this season for the rest of the season, we get to hold on to him.
  9. Weimann may not be great, but he should definitely be playing instead of Agbonlahor or Nzogbia.
  10. Many things he may be.... ... but lazy is not one of them. He was absolutely terrible yesterday, pissed me right off from the moment he came on, you're right he ain't lazy but his touches were embarrassing Did you miss Benteke's touches? Why pick on a guy who was on for 12 minutes when the great Benteke was terrible for 90 minutes.
  11. Drove me mad all day yesterday, made no sense and put us under immediate pressure straight away, he was utter shite yesterday People moan when we hoof it away too. There's really no winning for PL. When he hoofs it too often it is going astray. When he plays it short he is too often putting his man under pressure. Distribution problem. Nothing to do with Lambert. All to do with Guzan. Been looking very unsteady recently.
  12. He could have been recalled if we needed him if Benteke had been injured/suspended. Ridiculous to recall him when he was doing so well and then not use him. Then again, why am I not surprised.
  13. I have given Lambert loads of time whilst being unsure of his capabilities, I am happy to give this guy time to see what he can do. He does have a decent CV, and has a look about him, so I am hopeful. And you have to aim high, no point in aiming for 12th, even if that is what you will be happy with. And 6/7th is not really aiming ridiculously high.
  14. The young and hungry approach? That is what first came to mind. As I have said before, i prefer to think that it was Lambert's idea, and he had the guts to change his mind, rather than that he had been told to do it, and went along with that.
  15. Complete waste of time for Keane to have come in. Just prevented us getting a proper assistant in sooner. Another poor decision.
  16. You know he took himself out of the firing line?
  17. I notice Yorke loves us now again. Where's Gregory with his gun when you need him?
  18. Totally different to Yorke. Vlaar has always given of his utmost for this club when fit. Yorke, if memory serves, suddenly lost interest when ManU came calling, and practically forced a deal.
  19. He has made it clear he would not be averse to a move to another club. Not quite the same thing.
  20. You want Doug to put money into Aston Villa. Good luck with that one.
  21. I think he has done very well for us and really owes us nothing. If you want to find greedy, look in Delph's direction.
  22. We had all this in the summer when he may possibly have been at the height of his career, and no one came near him. His comment looks a bit desperate. As for the interested clubs, show me their quotes and I will believe it! Arsenal and ManU? Journalistic rubbish. Southampton manager made some comments in the summer - that's it! Having said that, I would like him to be sold in January. We look like we can manage without him - perhaps that is why he is showing some desperation.
  23. Why was Robinson brought back from a successful loan, and been unused. If it was cover in case Benteke got injured, surely he could have been returned at that stage. Just seems counter-productive for his career.
  24. I thought he had a decent game. Certainly better than Nzogbia. I think his tracking back is a problem for him at this stage, so probably appearances off the bench would be best until he learns the unpopular stuff.
