    Greg Evans had a good piece in The Athletic about the very professional way we recruit academy players, including making sure the recruiter knows the names of all family members and presenting a thorough report on how the club specifically see them developing in the academy. Presume the same would be done for first team targets. Perhaps Purslow and Lange blew away ESR with a PowerPoint.

    I know it does not work this way, but rather just Grealish leave on a free in 4 years time than sell him now. 4 more years of Grealish to this club is worth a hell lot more than 100M.

    Yeah, he just recently launched his channel. You can see he puts effort into the craft. Not just another Villa fan with a microphone.

    I know there is an allure about the Champions League, but competitively the Premier League is equal to it. If you look at Man City's UCL opponents last season, only PSG and Dortmund would have likely been in the top six of the Premier League. My point being - competitively Jack is essentially playing at the highest levels of football already. Aston Villa played 4 matches against the UCL finalists and 6 against the quarterfinalists last season.

    I'm not English, so frankly I want England to lose to Germany/France in the next round and all the drama around Grealish and Mings to end and for them to get some rest and start the Premier League season with a major chip on their shoulder.

    Could be that Jack has some sort of Image Rights clause in his contract or you need to be at a certain partner level to be able to use his image.

    Being able to close the revenue gap with the top six clubs. That would essentially mean we are in a position to compete for trophies and Europe on a regular basis.
