  1. Indeed, IanRobbo had taken his employers advice, gave up the painting of road signs and moved on to the motorway information signs
  2. What I am effectively doing is looking down at a list of people that aren't going to want to talk to me again when i'm finished. That was taken in a Crewe U18 v Chelsea U18 game.
  3. Right, well in light of recent events I have come up with a new invention: The Avram Grant clearing in the woods-o-meter. I may start testing it every week to see how is ratings improve because ever since he has taken over at Chelsea, he has become one of my most hated characters in football. Here are som reasons why: "I would say that the referee and the assistant should be honest,” Grant said. “They thought he’d saved it with his hand, but it was his head. I expected him, at the appeal, to be honest. He said that Ashley saved it with his hand, but the television shows he saved it with his head. Now they’re saying head to chest and maybe touching his hand. I expected them to say they are sorry, they were wrong - like [Ricardo] Carvalho did [after he was sent off for a two-footed challenge in the same match]. They have to be honest about it. If it [the appeal] is for nothing I’ll think about not bothering again in the future.” Chelsea boss Avram Grant has defended centre-back Ricardo Carvalho following his sending off against Aston Villa. "For me what's important is that Carvalho did not intend to hurt the player - I didn't see any intention," he said. I think first if Peter Crouch didn't do what he did, which everybody saw, then Mikel would not be in that position," said Grant. "The one thing I know is that Mikel could not continue and if you remember I subbed him five minutes later. "It was a bad injury. I heard that Peter Crouch is a nice guy so he needs to look at himself and see what is wrong and look forward - not to find any other excuse. "Mikel trained today but he is not 100%. "The only thing I can think about is that he (Crouch) spoke about the players who play in his team. He knows the foreigners in his team very closely. I don't think he knows much about other foreigners." I don't think that in this instance [in the Premier League], it is easy to be a referee. The game is much quicker and much more aggressive. So I will not complain about the referees," he said on Sky Sports News. "But the main discussion of the last two months has been that about if Chelsea send three or four players to the referees to complain about a decision. "I think this is wrong. The main issue is to protect the game and protect he players from bad injury. "The main discussion needs to be about this, not about how many players run to the referee. I could go on about this hypocritical, clueless, gormless, fugly, dreary, boring excrutiating arse of a man, but i wont. But as it is a democracy on here, I think whether or not Grant is a t*** should be voted on. It's only right
  4. ^^^you know, i think you've made some good points there
  5. A half blind African orphan has to ride 7 miles a day to school with only one leg on a bicycle with buckled wheels and no brakes, so he keeps falling off and picking himself back up again. Give a small donation of just £2 and we'll send you the video, it's **** hillarious
  6. I think this may well have been paper talk though. It was in one paper and came up no where else. Barry signing a new contract would surely have been on the OS
  7. Hi General, I was looking at the Cleveland Browns website and I noticed that there was no mention of Aston Villa. There is a section devoted to the Cleveland Browns on the Aston Villa website and I was wondering if a similar section could be created on the Cleveland Browns website, devoted to Aston Villa? I feel it may increase the bond between the Browns and Villa and it may be a good oppertunity for both sets of fans to discover our respective clubs. Villa fans have certainly shown an interest in the Cleveland Browns and I doubt that any of the Villa fans would have paid much attention to American Football before the takeover. Perhaps a link on the Cleveland Browns website would increase the Brown's fans awareness of Aston Villa and football (or 'soccer) Thanks, Liam
  8. All These Things That I've Done - The Killers. He's got sole but he's not a soldier...apparantly
  9. I honestly think Young is better than SWP. He has better skill, a better cross, a better shot etc but most importantly, he has a better attitude. SWP moved to an plays for chelsea because of the money. Young moved to and plays for us because he loves football and he can see we're going forward and he wants to help. Young is also much younger than SWP. I also think he is more loyal because he was immensly respectful towards Boothroid and Watford when he left
  10. lol at the above I'm thinking of lobbying the European Court of Justice to get an injunction issued against tottenham to stop them buying players. We can claim they are monopolising players under the Treaty of Amsterdam (i think)
  11. just for once, why can't it be us hijacking a bid from someone like fulham or, or Scunthorpe and pissing them off for a change
  12. i don't think there is anything in this to be honest. Not one of the sources is reliable (including SSN). They do make up rumours as well like that Cesar bloke and De La Pena a while back. They're always doing it and 9 times out of 10 it's bollocks
  13. Moore not a youngster? You know he is only 20...
  14. i very much doubt it. He played regularly for Leeds and managed an impressive 38 goals in 172 games. That is very much not 15 goals a season
  15. Smith is shit. I don't know why anyone would want him. He has an attitude problem and he cant score for toffee. I would much rather have Bellamy than Smith
