Why sack him? We always sack our managers. It never ever helps. Just stick for the time being and pray. This can't be his fault if every manager before him has had the same issues. He has gotten out of this legal 4 times with much worse squads. There's just something inherently wrong her and god knows what it is, but it isn't the manager.

I just don't see the point in sacking yet another manager. Hasn't once made a difference. Having the players play under different staff every 6 months is a recipe for disaster.

Frankly we already have one - Steve Bruce. He hasn't even had half a season. He is new.

A million times this. It hasn't worked the past 6 times, why would it work now. He needs time. He took over a totally bollocksed team. Give him a year at LEAST. He has been promoted 4 times. We signed Forrest's captain, Barnsley's talisman and an Icelandic dude who tore up the Euros. WHY ARE WE STILL AWFUL I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYMORE!!!!!

I'm really surprised by this and surprised by the people defending him! You are employed by your club (who pay you millions), not by the club's goalkeeping coach. The coming and going of staff is none of his business unless he has a complete relationship break down with the management, which doesn't appear to be the case. I stuck up from Gollini through his errors but now I feel a bit betrayed as he's just blaming any old crap rather than owing up to the fact that he might not be ready and needs to knuckle down and improve. Sell sell sell. We don't need these attitudes at Villa. We have had enough of this shite over the years from juvenile princesses like him who think they're owed the world. Steve Bruce & team have seen plenty of decent goalkeepers excel in their time so don't give me this crap about training. Don't give him a second chance.

From a business perspective, it's mental to get these deals done in 1 month. I'm never surprised that these things drag. Club and player always wait for a better offer, especially if they're in no rush to sell or the player is in no rush to move. That's why nothing really happens in Jan for ANY club and why these things just get put off until the summer.

I periodically make this plea, but please can we give [manager name] time. We have wasted so much money and bought so much shite because we keep chopping and changing managers who are desperate to buy their way to an instant fix. We just need to give a manager the time and the money to buy a decent squad but it takes a few years. Please can we just give Bruce time and support and wait a couple of years for continued stability that would take us up the leagues...

Ditto. Wouldn't happen though. The only player I hate too much to have back is Ashley Young after THAT dive against us.

He has had 13 games now so can we stop saying it is "luck" or fretting so much about performances and give him some credit for the miracle that he has worked? He has won 7 drawn 4 lost 2. We have gone from relegation contenders to play off hopefuls. Considering all that has gone before him, that really is excellent, A+, Distinction, First with Honours. These aren't even his players so it's no wonder at times he has to sort of cram them into his system. I don't think we will go up this year but give the guy a summer and I think he'll take us up.

But we do have our longest winning streak at home for 30 years, he's taken us from relegation contenders to play off hopefuls in no time at all and without a transfer window and we don't really lose games anymore. Suddenly we are a good team even though it's the same bunch of no-hopers RDM through together, so I think I'll take it.
