  1. Someone hasn't seen the news today... ...but yeah, we're not far off...
  2. I'm watching Leicester. I think it's the closest I can get to watching Villa geographically.
  3. If RDM gets the sack I will lose all faith in Tony, Villa and football. Just baffling to sack a manager so soon after the worst season ever and shelling out on a whole new team. Impatient fans will win again and we will be back to square one.
  4. They're pretty keen to twist the knife aren't they. This particular "episode" seems like a non-story?
  5. I read the crap he gets tweeted and the crap I read on here and I'm starting to think the most poisonous part of this club right now is actually the fans.
  6. Mourinho himself has now lost 4 on the bounce. It's not always just about the manager...
  7. Yup, all of them. We are the most impatient group of fans in the world. But still, all good teams were built in seconds and sacking manager after manager has worked for us before right... I just despair I really do. We never learn and it's so tiring hearing "[ ] out" all the sodding time.
  8. I can't believe people are calling for his head. Do you even REMEMBER how bad we were last season??????? At least we are now competing in games, albeit it's a different level but last seasons team would still lose every game! GIVE THE MAN TIME, SUCCESS DOESN'T HAPPEN OVER NIGHT!!!!!! I've said it a million times, so many of you are just so unrealistic and impatient. If we keep sacking managers all the time, like we have been doing for years, that won't solve the problem!!!! Let the guy have more than one transfer window and 7 league games to rebuild the whole sodding club eh???? This is a MASSIVE task and we have an ENTIRELY NEW team. You can't just flick a switch or throw money at a club as screwed as Aston Villa were last season and expect everything to be brilliant. It's so obvious that we are improving, it just takes time. Have patience, the results will come but they certainly won't if we chop and change our manager every 10 games...! SUPPORT HIM/THEM
  9. Which would be ridiculous. We need stability for a while regardless of where we finish. It takes more than just throwing money at it...
  10. I doubt RDM believes that. We just need to not "Villa" it and get over this psychological blip...
  11. I'm watching Pearl Harbour because it's on the telly. God it's a shockingly bad movie...
  12. You say that, but I've been forced to watch it and now I find myself saying things like "oh man she's given herself too much to do. She can't make a ganache AND and buttercream in that time!"
  13. Only 90s kids and before know that the save button is a floppy disk, and not just a save button. That hurts me deeply.
  14. I wonder whether this was an option and part of his last new contract. If it's a reward for focusing his mind on the job, hopefully we can draw a line under the last couple of seasons and he can excel.
  15. 03/04 at home against Fulham (brother is a Fulham supporter). We won 3-0 with goals from Juan Pablo Angel and Darius Vassell. One of them got two but I can't remember which.
  16. Throwing a rock at a goalkeeper isn't actually a bad idea. If he catches it, you know he's alright.
  17. I will never judge Remi Garde for his time here. Hands completely tied and dealing with an impossible situation. He might as well not have been here.
  18. I've been one of his biggest critics but I'll hold my hands up and say fair play to the lad, he seems to have got his head in the game and started to take his job more seriously. Credit to him and long may it continue!
  19. Whether we "have time" or not, it does take time and that's just the way it is. I would not be surprised if we didn't get promoted although I do agree not getting promoted would be a bit of a failure. However, if things don't turn around instantly (and they won't) we cannot turn on the manager and the players like we ALWAYS do if things aren't going well. Do not forget just HOW screwed the club was a couple of months ago. The progress The Doctor has made in just a few months is very impressive but it is still in a bit of a "healing" period for me. I hate to be so clichéd, but Rome wasn't built in a day...
