Going back to @leemond2008's comments, I grew up in Erdington (B24 crew represent!) Without sounding like a snob, it used to a nice place but now I don't recognise the high street now. It looks like a slum. It's always had its rougher areas but the high street was always decent.

Flexible working is great but there are many jobs/sectors it just doesn't work in unfortunately I tend to work from home 1/2 days a week which is great for me as can get jobs done / parcels delivered etc

Parking is so bad in my apartment complex that people have put their own barriers/bollards on their spaces. Most of the apartments get 1 space, a few get 2 (the top floor apartments). There are no visitors spaces either. I have 2 spaces so i'm ok but occasionally people will try and chance it and park in one of my spaces. rocket polishers.

Its improved a bit now with the new Mulberry Walk development. Lots of new places to eat and drink We have an M&S Food Hall now as well. Living la vida loca!

Inconsiderate parking in the local supermarket (Sainsburys in Mere Green) The last 2 weeks I have done my shop I've come back to find a car 3 inches from my drivers door! When I park I always make sure I leave plenty of room either side of me. I tend to park in the middle of the white lines. Shame other people aren't so courteous. On Sunday a car was over my white line meaning I had to channel my inner Stretch Armstrong to get into my drivers seat. My door (and my foot) may have slammed into the other car once or twice.
