My mate has worked in Investment Banking for last ten years in London (both Canary Wharf and the City) and never wears a suit. He's worked for Credit Suisse, RBS and Barclays amongst others.

Some cracking boozers around Moseley and Kings Heath. It's a different atmosphere that side of the city to where I am from (north Brum). You just don't get the same buzz in areas around here

CGT only kicks in after you have made £11k profit in the tax year AFAIK So if your BTC cost £1k and you sell it for £6k then you don't pay CGT. If it sells for £15k then you pay CGT on the £12k-£15k portion. Obviously anything else sold after for a profit is subject to CGT as you have used your your £11k limit in that tax year. @leemond2008 - I thought you had applied for a new job recently and had been successful? I know it is easy to say but you need to try and leave your work there when you come home. You can only do so much. What is the worst that could happen? They can't discipline you for being overworked an they?

Ever done karaoke? My mate is in a band, nothing major, just a group of mates who decided to give it a go. Do cover songs (mainly 70's/80's) and have a gig every quarter around the live music pubs around Brum. He loves it! Gets a real buzz (he's the lead singer). Kind of a bit jealous of him for having the balls to do it!

Hare and Hounds, Kings Heath Cracking pub. Mate was playing a gig there last night and was a great laugh. Loads of students and a really good atmosphere. Some cracking sights as well

Seems all too 'bitty' at the minute. What are peoples plans? Just invest in everything and hope one blows up and increases 10000%? Is there any method to your strategies? Just curious. I spent a bit of time looking at it pre-Xmas but i'm probably going to invest in 'traditional' ways like bonds, equities and funds. I probably won't 'get rich quick' but steady growth over 20 years should see me very comfortable by my mid 50's
