Until England get a new manager nothing will change, Southgate will continue with his tactic of Maguire carrying the ball out of defence, passing the ball to the half way line to Kane who turns and tries to play in one of the wide men. This works against the 3rd rate countries but comes unstuck against any half decent team. It’s a system that suits Toney better than Watkins, that’s why I expect Southgate to pick him for the Euros. You can’t expect an elite manager like Southgate to have a plan B, when plan A doesn’t work.

I thought he did really well up against arguably one of the best players in the world atm. He also did this playing out of his natural position. Most players make their debut against 3rd countries, so credit to Konsa for taking it all in his stride.

The whole Southgate system is based on Kane dropping deep, the players look clueless when he doesn’t play. Watkins was fine, had no service. Doesn’t help having wide men who constantly look to come inside and shoot. We will waste another tournament with Southgate in charge. England are flat track bullies who always struggle against half decent teams. That Brazil team is probably one of the poorest I’ve seen.

Agree, neither are a patch on Rodri imo. He is pure class!

Rice is overrated imo. He’s a good player but nothing more. He doesn’t do anything quick, always wants 3 touches. He’s getting a lot of praise for his Arsenal performances but the reality is they have less points at this point of the season than they did last season. Been no better than Xhaka was last season!

I’ve always liked Cash and he gives us a better balance when he’s at right back. Kid always gives his all, not sure he’s good enough if we are serious about kicking on but would be a great back up/rotation option should we get CL football.

I don’t like West Ham fans and hate it when they say, it’s not the West Ham way (whatever that is) but I completely agree with them regarding wanting Moyes out. They have some very good players but that dinosaur Moyes is happy to have 11 men behind the ball.

First 30 minutes both teams were crap, they got a goal and looked slightly better for the last 15 mins, this was mostly down to us giving the ball away cheaply. 2nd half we were the better team and got a deserved point. Would have liked 3 but given injuries and suspensions I’m happy with the point. Thought Diaby was the difference 2nd half. This was pretty much West Ham’s best 11 as well.

Plays exactly how you would expect a raw 19 year old would play. I’ve said it countless times but if someone can get hold of this kid and coach him, he could be an unbelievable player. He has all the attributes you need to be a top class striker. Hopefully he develops and makes the most of his undoubted talent!

He got it massively wrong today, horrible decision that didn’t suit any of our players but I will forgive him. We all make mistakes. Let’s not forget how far we have come in such a short space of time, oh and look at the players we are missing. He’s done an incredible job with what he’s had to work with.

It’s a red at any level of football. Absolute stupid tackle and got what he deserved. Let, himself, the club and the fans down. It’s annoying at he’s a top bloke and out of character for him.

Should be fined as much as he can be. Embarrassing sending off for any player, let alone the captain. Sunday league shit that was, actually he should be fined more, if he was going to smash anyone it should have been Maddison.

Doesn’t get much wrong but he did today, we were never going to score with that system. Showed them far too much respect and it backfired massively. Today’s on the Manager and Captain.

Decent result, they were up for it but didn’t really trouble us. We play better at home and we will win.

I’m not savvy enough about business or accounting to know what I’m talking about but what I do know is we have 3 billionaire owners who are. Losing the amount we have isn’t great but it will be for a reason.

Watkins is a great back up option to Kane, we need someone who can stretch tiring defences in the knockout stages of tournaments. The semi against Croatia and final against Italy were both screaming out for this. Kane makes it easy for the better teams with him constantly dropping deep to receive the ball. His record in big games at tournaments outside of penalties isn’t great!

If we can somehow win our next 2 games we would be 11 points clear of Spurs before they play again.

Didn’t really notice at the time but the free kick for their 2nd goal was taken nowhere near where the foul was committed. It was a good 6 yards further in field giving their player a much better angle to whip it in.
