  1. It would be a stretch to say it was 'just' for the kit but i did want to go to the club shop to try some kit on to see what sizes were like. Its very hard to get villa merch in ireland other than online especially since relegation. In the temp shop they only had large and xl both of which are too small. Just very disappointing for my first visit to the stadium in nearly a decade...
  2. I came from dublin to the ground today hoping for a look and to preorder. Much to my dismay, and the dismay of quite a number of fellow villains, the club shop is closed until 29/07/2017. However, hope remained as a temporary shop had been errected in the car park. When we spoke to the vendor he said they had no new kit and offered to show it to me on his phone. Oh well i thought i will just order one. Oh no said the vendor, you can only order it on the website. Worst kit launch ever!!!
  3. There is a difference between on pitch captain and club captain so he could be the on the pitch captain without being team/club captain.
  4. that's an altered version of Ross McCormmack's signing picture. FAKE NEWS!!!! ALTERNATIVE FACTS!!!!!
  5. The world is driven by this type od data insight. If you visit google, facebook, amazon etc they you are already givng up the data. I dont see this as a negative, but in fact a massive positive. And no, its not a new odea, but as a club we are starting to play catch-up as most successful clubs are already doing this. I work as a Data Scientist in the travel industry these days and can tell you having access to a customer public facebook data makes my ability to improve sales and drive incentives far easier and much more lucrative. If done right it will mean more revenue for the club - and im all for that.
  6. I amswered your question. And you will find it was you who told people to leave. I merely suggested that if you ask a question and complain about the answer then a forum which is designed for open debate possibly isnt the best place for you. I didnt ask you to leave at all. Whereas you explicitly did.
  7. I was asked a question so i answered it. If you dont like that, then i think forums are not for you...
  8. A smart manager wouldnt publicly set goals he didnt believe were achievable. Its not like he said this as soon as he was in the door. He had been in charge over a month when he set this target. Seems to me ppl are far too eaher to make excuses for a man who looked clueless at best last season. I hope SB is the answer but my experience in the game and watching it tells me come christmas he will be gone and the next incombant will be in.
  9. Is the defence decent? Chester is good i think we all agree Baker is ok but will miss at least 25% of games through injury. That leaves Rochards and Elphick as our senior backups who were both woeful last term and i think most believe should leave. So 2 senior defenders is a strong position? I think you need to rethink that one...
  10. I have a sneaking suspicion that Terry may come in as a player-coach.
  11. Not sure why people think an arrow through a heart os a negative think. Its an image associated with cupid. Id imagine its someone has fallen in love and will soon sign.
  12. Hogan and McCormack as wide forwards? No, thanks!!!!!
  13. Our current squad with a different tactical approach is capable of promotion. However if SB persists with his current tactical approach (or lack thereof) then i feel we still need 5/6 players to play it effectively enough to challenge for promotion.
  14. When bruce took the job he said he expected to be competing for the playoffs come the end of the season. So by that mark he has failed as we were not even close to competeing...
  15. There are plenty of pl quality keepers currently available for less than 5m. Keepers that are much better than sj and not 'old journeymen looking for a last payday'. Given the above, i think signing sj would be a huge mistake because i dont think he is ready for first team football and im far from convinced he has enough potential to be a pl keeper (having been a trainee keeper at villa myself 20 years ago)
  16. Whether rdl is better than bree or not will depend heavily on hos recovery. I dont mind which of these two start if it means hutton is out of the picture. I think both are very good rbs for this division.
  17. I also met my now wife online in 1999. We met on napster
