  1. He's great when we are bossing midfield and he has space to run with the ball. Not so great at other times, as he's not overly effective off the ball (compared to McGinn and Buendia) and then runs the ball into a dead-end for a turnover. Certainly room to improve and he has the ability, but I'm not certain I'd start him every game.
  2. Can only assume it was the same person that scouted Soyuncu. Horrible.
  3. Daniel Ricciardo being paid $24mill to NOT drive a McLaren. Genius.
  4. Buendia apologist here. Your last couple of sentences is spot on. He has a major weakness in retaining possession when put under immediate pressure as soon as he receives it - particularly in the middle of the park and with his back to goal. His passing in the last 2 games has been wayward but he does try the more adventurous passes. It's great when it comes off and a lot of good play still goes through him. I suspect Emery can work with him on his decision making and get him to move the ball quicker when under pressure.
  5. Felt his high line was ultimately what outdid us - particularly in the first half. It's not that we can't play a high line, but the conditions were atrocious which made it easier for the forwards facing our goal to get in behind and harder for us to turn and keep up, then play out. We were finding it hard to keep our feet at times, slipping and sliding. Looked like the weather eased up a bit in the 2nd half?
  6. He wasn't at his best. But neither was Ramsey. Or Luiz in particular, who was wasteful in possession. I doubt they'll get the amount of negative/critical posts that Buendia does - that makes him a scapegoat, no?
  7. Yes - I enjoy a loss. Yes - I'm new here Condescending? Works both ways. If you ask the point of my post, don't get upset when I explain it.
  8. You asked what the point was. I gave you the response. If it wasn't specifically you that overracted - good for you.
  9. Beundia the favourite scapegoat. Same for Hendrie.
  10. Let me break it down: We weren't that bad, the ref isn't to blame and neither is Buendia. We lost to the team coming 4th. At their place. And we were unlucky not to get a draw.... ... but feel free to overreact.
  11. I remember watching Lee Hendrie. Wonderful on the ball, good awareness of what was around him and some lovely link up play. Popped up with the odd screamer too. He used to get bullied off the ball, being a smaller player, especially in the middle of the park. He could be a little inconsistent, but that was mostly when the other team was getting on top in midfield. Oh.. and he used to cop dogs abuse on here. Sound familiar?
  12. My word - the overreactions on here. Whinging about the ref Whinging about Buendia (because, why not. Everyone else is untouchable). Whinging about our first loss - away to Manure, no less - in 10 games. We were unlucky not to come away with a point, which I would have taken before kickoff.
  13. Buendia has been ok after a rough start. Ramsey, however, has turned over everything he's touched.
  14. Conditions are not helping the way we want to play. Lots of loose passes, slips and impossible changes of direction. Unlucky the deflection took the ball over and away from Martinez and Mings for the goal.
  15. Can't ever be confident to get a result at ManUre. Might sneak a draw.
  16. Boo hoo. Wet Spam undone by a soft penalty. Sucks, dunnit?
  17. Been cheering for Forest and Wet Spam to get results. I feel dirty. Can't bring myself to ever cheer for ManUre, though.
  18. Aye. There's reason to believe for every fixture: Manure - defence of Macguire and Lindelhof Wolves - on the beach. Unlikely to be in the relegation scrap and nothing else to play for Spuds - in free-fall. Could have a 4th manager this year when they play us? Liverpool - beatable with the simplest of game plans: Get Moreno running at TAA Brighton - massive fixture pile up, with some tough games.
  19. Fulham are playing scared. We are in second gear and in total control Mings has been excellent.
  20. 2 overseas investors take over a club that is stuggling and use their wealth and influence to propel them up the league.... ... and we now sit in 6th place. The only difference between us and Wrexham? Clubs in our league spend more than us. The hypocrisy in this thread is amazing.
  21. I don't think he's ever kept a clean sheet and clearly not comfortable with the ball at his feet, doesn't command his area and doesn't leave his box. That completely stiffles the way Emery wants us to play. We need an upgrade. Here's a shout: Matthew Ryan Aussie international Premier league experience Currently playing in the Netherlands Knows how to play with his feet and be a sweeper
  22. umm... an uncovered outdoor area? You're in England. You play games in winter. It's always raining. Can't see that getting much use.
